I would remind you that numbers are not necessary, so don't spend too much time in that area.
Thinking about the function might be helpful.

I was assuming the other material is most likely metal ( because in general, metal is a more common electricity conductor). Just guessing.

I'm curious, what made you think of a paper shredder? I thought we might have to go a couple more questions before we could narrow down!! Great guess!!

Thank you. The last clue was really helpful. I had thought of coffee maker, but then "15. Not likely used recreationally." put an end to that! Coffee is both a necessary and recreational beverage for some.
OK. I hope someone is on now, because I am not sure how long I can stay.
But I should be back tomorrow sometime again.
