Is this even possible?

Hi......I was diagnosed with DCIS in October 2014. I elected to have a Lumpectomy. After two Lumpectomies and 7 weeks of Radiation, I went happily on my way....until October 2015 when I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and my follow up mammogram showed "suspicious" calcifications. Because of the other diagnosis, my Dr. decided to wait and see on the calcifications and treat the Uterine Cancer. Total hysterectomy, radiation and 3 months of chemo. The chemo would take care of any "suspicious" calcifications in the breast too....right? Well, finished chemo 2 months ago, and the follow-up mammo showed an increase in the existing ones. Scheduled for a biopsy in two days and I am panicking. Both cancers were caught early but both were very high grade. The calcifications are in the lumpectomy be and directly next to it. Is it even possible that this could be a recurrence?

Anything is possible, but hopefully it's scar tissue. They look very similar on imaging. Keep us posted. Sorry you are dealing with all of this. Have they done genetic testing with a full panel test?

Chemo for uterine cancer may not have the necessary drugs to kill breast cancer, no? I developed a recurrence in my chest wall where the original one had been, so it is possible, but bloody frustrating to say the least! Did you go on Herceptin?

Yes, I had the genetic testing, all negative. And no Herceptin......triple negative. Just frustrated that cancer has to be such a big part of my life at this point.......tomorrow is my 60th birthday and all I can think about is the biopsy!
