I am grateful

Hi there,
I'm relatively new, but I saw this thread and thought I'd share. It's going to sound crazy but in a roundabout way I'm grateful for the side effects of this disease. Not the nausea or fatigue, I mean the life side effects. I am closer to my family and friends than I've been in a while, and, too, closer to God. I've seen again His amazing power through faith and prayer and I am excited to share my journey with others. I'm just starting and there may be days I'll think the person who wrote this is insane and someone should shut her mouth. Thank you for letting me share

I am grateful for my grandma, pictured here with me. I was told when I turned 40, that no mammogram was needed because guidelines had changed, and we had no family history of BC. fast forward 1 1/2, my 92 year old grandma was DX with BC. When I brought the new famy history to my doc, she sent me for a "baseline" mammogram. They found cancer, but only a 6mm tumor. I hate to think what it could've grown to, if I had waited another 8 years! Thanks for being my ang grandma
-
I am grateful for tests that helped find this disease earlier for better outcomes.
