I'm losing it at a quick rate

history ... 2003 found a lump in my arm pit . I went directly to a surgeon and he scheduled me for a mammogram. Then a few days later I had the lump removed from my arm pit. Well a week goes by and I checked the mail. Go inside opened a letter that told me I had a abnormal mammogram. Then as I'm reading this the surgeon called me and told me my lump from my arm pit never made it to the lab.

Went back to get the follow up mammogram and let me say that crap was very painful. Then I had a ultrasound. They told me it was a area of thickening and to keep a eye on it. And I havent been. Now I get weird shooting pain in the breast and I also get a tightening feeling too.

So I went to the dr. She felt a lump and ordered a mammogram and ultraspund. Went last wendsday . This waiting and worrying sucks.

    Brandy, are you being treated for health or other anxiety? I know getting breast stuff investigated can be unsettling and somewhat frightening, but you are literally making yourself sick, even to the extent of taking an ambulance to the ER. Anxiety is miserable and can be crippling emotionally and is very treatable. I know you have some meds now, but is this an ongoing problem? I'm sad for you being so terrified when at this point you don't even know there is anything to be terrified about. It may very well turn out that you have literally made yourself ill over something that turns out to be benign.

    I don't have insurance . And the free clinic doesn't believe in giving anxiety meds. When I was married and had insurance I was on anxiety meds.

    Can you go to the ER for meds? I have a history of anxiety too and I suffered from postpartum anxiety/OCD really bad, to the point I was in the ER and given a shot of Ativan. It worked fast and calmed me down quick! You might want to conisder that if you feel like breaking down. I really sympathize with you. I hope you get the treatment you need.

    Thank you. I did go to the er the other day. They gave me ativan. I will be ok.
