I think my marriage is over

SoAlone, that is really great to hear. I think you are smart to give this another go. It really seems like it's been give and take and yet that's often how we get things back on track. It's not just always a smooth transition, "okay, poof, I'm going to change." It sounds like your husband is still figuring out how to refocus his life. And getting better at it. Your story of his wanting you to be there with his coworker's at a gathering, and that you had a really nice time actually brought tears to my eyes. I'm glad you're hanging in there.

Thank you Mrs.M.
I am trying to let things go. I am being very watchful though. I explained to him how I need to tell him when he is doing something to upset me because I don't want to let the little things go and wait for them to become big things. He understands, I think.
It feels good to slowly reconnect with him. I know its going to take a lot of work, but as long as he is willing to try so am I.

SoAlone, I wish you the best, sounds promising.

Great news, SoAlone.

I just found this thread this evening (it showed up under "Most Active"), read the whole thing and I must say I am fascinated and moved by the outpouring of replies and well-meaning support. Like many here, I have first hand experience with a very similar situation to what SoAlone describes. I will, however, refrain from offering advice other than to suggest continued counseling as it appears this situation is on-going. SoAlone, I wish you the best with your diagnosis and your family situation. You are in my prayers.

How are you doing SoAlone? Thinking of you.

Hi, it's been a while since I have been here. We are slowly working on moving forward, baby steps you know. Unfortunately, we have moments that take 10 steps back. But I wanted to say thank you to all of you for your support throughout all of this.

SoAlone, so good to hear that you are making progress . I wonder about you from time to time .

Hey there, SoAlone. I, too, have wondered from time to time how things are going for you. It is nice of you to check in and let us know that you and your hubby are still together and working things out. Continued best wishes for you during this holiday season.
