Today is National Siblings Day, a favorite story I have about my sibling(s) is.......
-
Too many to tell. My sister and only sibling was my best friend and business partner. She was six years my senior, and wished for a sister every year, starting at age 2 on her birthday cake. When I came along, she was my protector. We were close from day one. She would kick anyone's behind who would try to mess with me. And to say that she was beautiful would be an understatement. She modeled for Italian vogue. She was physical perfection. But she was also ridiculously smart. In second grade she found a mathematical error in one of her books. She got her law degree in the midst of surgeries and chemo. She was swimming laps 3 weeks before she passed away. She was also working 2 weeks before she passed away. 3/6/2004 at the age of 43, I lost my sister, best friend, business partner to breast cancer. To say that I miss her everyday would be an understatement.
