radiation above the collarbone?

I am looking for information on side effects of receiving radiation above the collarbone.

I have mets to the lungs, bones, and lymph nodes. The bulk of the lesions / tumors are above the collarbone which causes most of my QOL issues. It's difficult to breathe and swallow and coughing & vomiting are a daily problem.

My treatment started in December with chemo, in hopes of quickly shrinking the tumors and help my SOB. Sadly that didn't work too well so I am now on tamoxifen. Next week I start 2 weeks of radiation to the bone. The RO mentioned doing radiation on my throat area as well. He thinks this will work quicker than the hormones.

Has anyone followed a similar plan or experienced the same issues?

Thanks in advance.
