I have been doing well. I am 4 weeks yesterday from surgery. Just been going to lots of appointments and gearing up to start radiation next week. This is a great place to come to and it does help to share what is going on with everyone. Sorry for the ones that are still having trouble from surgery. I hope you recover quickly and/or get answers you are looking for. All we can do is keep a positive attitude and keep moving forward. Next step for me 33 radiation treatments.

Jen- sorry you're still dealing with the infection. I have packed a lot of patients with "linguine" and can't imagine having it on myself. Glad your dh is tough!
Jerseygirl- rads are hard. I did it 10 years ago, but it will end. Take care of yourself and imagine a great summer!
I started lupron for OS last week, been bleeding ever since. Was gonna call the doc but I see that it's a side effect and should get better. I hope so! Started on the AI last Monday. Maybe it's my imaginatiin, but I feel cruddy. Tired and fluish. Maybe I'm just tired because, I don't know. Just worried. I started back to work on the 15th and im exhausted. Adding menapause to all this is overwhelming.
Started my fills too last week (big week). I now can see the start of a breast, woo hoo' gotta be happy about something, right? He placed 120 in surgery (which I didn't know before), then 100 last week. He's going slow because of the tight skin. So I won't go in but every 4 weeks. The pain is better. It's a very long process we go through.

Hope you hold up well during the rads, jersey girl and not feeling well with the meds has to be running you down... Ugh. I hope the side effects subside! Sometimes a chat with a pharmicist may help to run over all your meds and supplements and figure out when is the best time to take it? I take a lot of meds and I have to consult often to fit in something new. Just an idea.
Hope they start to move Truffles that would be most annoying to sit and wait.
Still packing the dang hole! See the doc later this week... It is looking much better but still there, and still hurts and my abdomen is pretty hard so worried I have fluid again but just trying to tough it out

NJ-Jen, we Jersey girls think alike... I talk to my Pharmacist all the time. He's been great during this whole thing. It's mostly the Herceptin that's giving me side effects, so there's not a whole lot I can do about it. I can either take OTC cold meds to alleviate the flu-like symptoms, stop the Herceptin, or deal with flu-like stuff until June... They want me to start an AI or Tamoxifen after rads, so that's going into the mix, too.
NJ-Jen, hope you are doing well and feeling better everyday.

Hi ladies! Hope everyone is recovering well still. Hating my expanders but have about 80% of my stamina back so happy about that! Looks like I'm stuck with these expanders for probably another 5 or 6 months. I don't really want to do surgery during the summer so I'm gonna try and tough it out. I may give 8n as they are filled more. Meeting with doc next week about oooberectomy. Found out I'm chek2+ last week. Still trying to figure out what that means exactly as far as future plans.
Hang in there everyone! Jen- tell that darn hole to close up already!! Is it getting more shallow?

Hi ladies! I am wondering if any of you are suffering from bad back pain still? My surgery was Dec 30th so I'm almost 7 weeks out. I think part of it is that I'm not yet able to roll over to sleep on my sides, and still hunching over slightly at times (had abdominal surgery at same time). However, I've got severe pain under my right shoulder blade. When I inquired about it weeks ago I was told that they removed breast tissues around my sides that held up my lateral muscles in my back so they have been tacked up in place (you can see the dimples where they did this). Is this also a problem you are having? I hope this eases soon. It sort of feels as if my back muscles are out of place. Can anyone relate to this? I was prepared for a lot, but not this. Hope you are all doing much better this evening.

just checking in. Olive healed after a grueling 39 days but she is solid now (we named the infection hole olive as we kept stuffing it).
I am still tired, but much better! Swelling I think gone. My weight dropped like crazy. Anyone else have this?
Wow Tasai... I still have a hard time with my tummy muscles still rolling over and using my legs to leverage e out of bed... But I would speak to a doc and get so physical therapy to build back some muscle. I am also working on that but I had diep, so no muscle was moved.
Take care everyone!

NJ-Jen, so glad to hear Olive has healed! The tired thing is driving me crazy!!!! Starting to feel a bit more energy a days pass, but still tire easily. Hang in there!
