hi

I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have two lumps that can be felt in one breast. I had an MRI to make sure nothing was going on in the other breast. One of the hospitals I consulted reported that there were some spot lighting up in spine and liver. Schedule to get ct and bone scans tomorrow. I realized this would make my stage 4 which is a lot to absorb. Doctor said could be incidental finding but I'm thinking must be related. Anyone else has had similar experience? How did you kill the the time until you hear? Just want a hear a hi from someone who's been there

I don't know what to tell you as I still haven't had any scans or MRI. Mets is my worst fear. It's funny, but before my dx, I was afraid of losing my boobs. Then it was chemo. Now that I face both, due to being triple negative, I'm not worried about those things. Just the spread and getting the dang treatment started!

Good luck! This waiting is the worst!

Pari-TV, sorry you need to be here. It is a never ending nightmare. But, you don't know yet what is ahead. My coping mechanism, the first time around was cleaning. My anxiety was through the roof. I was too stubborn to ask for meds. ( lorazepam ). Big mistake. My dx was serious, and sure enough I was just dx stage 4 with innumerable liver mets......

Many ladies on these boards were dx the same time as me, also scary dx & they are doing great. I had excatly 2 years of NED. ( no evidence of diease ).

Sorry, this sounds so depressing. Be kind to yourself, take it one day at a time, you did nothing to cause this.

Sending positive wishes to you, that those incidental findings are nothing. Keep posting, we all "get it". Sometimes friends, family, coworkers, mean well but say stupid things to someone just dx. I wanted to smack up side the head, all comments "just stay positive".

twas - I feel the same way. I don't mind getting any form of treatment such as surgery chemo or radiation as I have already faced those and adjusted to the idea of going through them. Mets scare me but I hear from so many people about their successes so that keeps me going. Keeping fingers crossed for both of u

my liver lesions were confirmed on CT scan so next step i was told is to get a liver biopsy. This is certainly seem more complicated and drawn out that I had thought. Anyone has had a similar experience

Pari, so sorry you have to go through this. The biopsy could show a benign liver lesion, you just never know which is why they're doing the biopsy. I really hope it will be benign. In the meantime don't google and worry yourself too much because nothing is confirmed yet. I don't know much about liver lesions, so I just wanted to post to give you some support. Hugs.

I am so sorry this happened to you. I am afraid of this myself. I have two calcification clusters in my left breast, one of which already came back with cancer, which is why I joined here. I am also scheduled to have a breast MRI this Thursday, and am scared stiff of getting results that it has already metastasized somewhere else.

All I can do is wish you the best and offer my support
