Dry skin - Olive Oil

Options

I am six months past radiation any breast still are dry. Saw my gynecologist yesterday and she said try olive oil. Anyone have any opinions

    It could work, and shouldn't hurt. You can use a Kiss My Face olive oil bar or other soap substitute in order not to dry it out further. You might try emu oil. It's expensive but unlike other oils actually penetrates the skin, which I find relieving on the radiation side.

    I second the emu oil. Like ksusan mentioned, very pricey (about 60 bucks for a few ounces), but it works very well and you don't need much. Makes a great wrinkle serum too, so you can get a 2for1. I've used both olive oil and aquaphor too. Both work well enough in a pinch to calm the dry, scaly itching.

    My daughter has really bad ezcema and pure coconut oil has been a life saver. We mix it with a little olive oil to make applying easier. It is inexpensive and I purchase it from amazon.
