Do you have a history of seizures? Did they give you a reason? Was it electrolyte imbalance, low blood sugar, etc, and/or did they do a scan of your brain? I think you and MO should have a conversation about the seizure nad figure out why you had it, then take that into account moving forward. Sorry that happened. How scary!

Ohmygosh, of course you are scared! What does your Onc say? I've talked with literally
thousands of women on my BC blog and I've not heard anyone have seizures from AC.
Lots and lots of other things...
like Kbeee I wonder if you have a history of seizures or other medical conditions that
could cause it?? What does your MO say?

they sent me for a ct scan in hospital- it came back clear- so now they want an MRI- I have no history of seizures- but ac has made me very ill on both occasions- first time vomiting non stop for 36 hours- none of the nausea medication worked- weakness- shaking- trouble breathing and unable to walk more the 15 meters at week 2.- they also had to postpone my second one because of low blood counts.- 2nd time they reduced the red devil by 5 ml- i went to hospital again- not as much nausea but had shaking and seizures on 2nd day so I was moved to another hospital- i am worried it will happen again- anyone else think that they should postpone and maybe change meds- i am stage 4 with liver and bone mets. first dose of red devil was reduced 20 percent- 2nd dose was reduced 25 percent. I did do a little research and there have been cases of seizures and even coma- although rare- it does happen.

Rodeogirl, I would suggest that you ask your onc about another chemo drug. They don't call it the red devil for nothing. Sounds very serious. Please keep us posted.

an update had to go to hospital again this time with racing heart and trouble breathing- every time i stood up my heart would race to 150 beats a minute- when i laid down fine- i had ct of lungs and heart- they say it may have been started by dehydration and low magnesium- so that is something all you ladies might consider if this happens to you:). Saw oncologist today- didnt have 3rd ac but have option to go to taxol- or taxodere- i asked for the one with less side effects- a weekly dose- praying i dont have any more major se- good news is that she said my lung mets and bone mets looked a bit smaller
omg what a rough 2 months. can anyone tell me what the side effects are with the taxodere that is not the bad one is it- I want the one that dosent have allergic reactions
