hi. I had a double mastectomy in January 2014. My exchange was in June 2014. I've had issues with healing and an infection at one point.

Last night as I was laying on my bed watching tv I felt a pointing area in my breast. I was like wth could that be? I turned to see if I changed position if it'd go away. The pointy spot went away but then my breast practically folded in half. I contacted my ps and went in to be looked at. The pa said the implant probably flipped, don't worry about it. Now I also have some pain in my breast so I ask about that. She says well there's probably pain from the implant moving around and bumping nerves etc. so I asked what we do about that. She said nothing. It's ok if the implant flips. I asked her if the pocket is too big causing it to flip? She said it really is fine, don't worry. One more tidbit of info not sure if it makes a difference but the line under my breast on each side is different. I forget the name of this... Something fold I believe. I mean quite different! I asked her about this and she said yeah I see what you mean but it's ok. So we've confirmed that my implant flipped, it's causing me pain, that whatever it's called fold is different in each breast and she said all is fine. Should I be concerned? Has this happened to any of you? What did you do

I put a call into my bs but receptionist said that's usually the ps's call. I see bs in May but would rather not wait that long to address it.

Not sure if I should go to another ps for opinion or not? Hoping to get more feedback here to decide that, I guess. What if I got another opinion? Would that ps do the surgery or would I push my current ps to do it? Seems a little awkward but I also don't want to let this go if it's going to cause more issues with pocket and cause pain and look funny....

this is the PA telling you this and not the PS??? A flipped implant is not OK. I would call and ask to c your doctor that performed the surgery not his PA. U have a right to c your doctor. I would also seek a second opinion.
