Blue Koala- I hope you feel better soon. It seems these drugs are so dang unpredictable. I'm sorry you are feeling so bad.

Fowlertee- How are you doing? I'm sorry I was so immersed in my own issues and worries that I didn't even ask, and you just started treatment this week. I hope you are doing well.

My hair started shedding around day 17. Then I clipped it short. Don't worry about the port it's an easy installation and you will be glad you have it. Not everyone experiences side effects so you might not have to go out and buy a whole bunch of stuff to deal with chemo. Just wait and see how you handle it and go from there before you spend all that money. :))

So, I'll be finishing A/C on 4/12/16. Starting Taxol 4/12 for four rounds every two weeks until June. Anyone know how the SE's are for this one besides possible neuropathy? Or, is it all the same basically? Anxious here.

    Hello ladies,

Finally coming out the other side after treatment 2. It takes 5 days on TC for me and the 6th day is better. Only 2 more. Just avoid infection now...

Sunshine - I'm on carbo & taxotere too. My 1st treatment I didn't chew on ice & I got bad mouth sores. So for my 2nd, I did the ice & I can say it made a huge difference. I have no mouth sores this time.

The fatigue was much worse with my 2nd treatment & had a lot of shortness of breath with it. Makes me nervous for treatment #3. I'll discuss this with my MO before the infusion.

Same with me days 3 & 4 are the worst. Then I start to come back around.

Hang in there everyone. Someday we'll be looking back on this.

Hello, I am a little late to joining but was diagnosed on February 29 with IDC, Stage 2A, Grade 3. I am being treated as triple negative, although I had a 10% positive estrogen read, it was a low margin. I started AC chemo on March 10, every two weeks for 4 cycles followed by Taxol for 12 weeks every week. My first two rounds went alright. I have a rough couple of days and seem to bounce back okay. The fatigue is defiantly getting worse. It's hard because I am not tired, my body is just so weak that any exertion is exhausting. Anyways I am happy to be part of this forum and know that I am not alone in the journey. For more years with my children this will all be worth it.

Welcome aboard. I am on the TCHP for now but will possibly be changing due to a bump in the road caused by peripheral neuropathy. Will see my MO Thurdsy to find out. There are several on your regimen though. Glad you are doing so well with the side effects.

Thanks everyone, I joined the FB group. I was wondering if anyone else has other health issues that are effecting their chemo treatments. Two years ago I had a Colon resection due to profuse bleeding. They never could diagnosis what caused it. But it left me with major stomach and colon sensitivity and I lost a lot of weight. I am now facing chemo at 88 pounds. In one week I have lost 3 pounds, needed hydration 3 times, Day 2-5 bad stomach cramps. It felt like my stomach was on fire and extreme nausea. They gave me zofron and compezine. I am one of those side effect sensitive people. Now day 9 my stomach is more settled except a lot of gas, but my potassium and white blood cells are very low. I was given an antibiotic and told to stay away from public places. My next treatment is Friday depending on my white blood cell count. If side effects get worse I am worried that my body won't be strong enough.

Sun5308, I'm in the FB group as well.  I sympathize with what you're going through and totally understand your concerns.  I'm a bit underweight to begin with, having some health problems also, some not figured out yet 'till I'm through with treatment, but am upset seeing weight loss also.  I've only had 1 round of TC broken into 2 weeks.  My eating is okay and my stomach, eh, but the major question I think from day 1 also is am I strong enough for this.  I'm sure we're not the only ones thinking this and though I didn't get a straight answer from my new Dr., I'm sure they base it on the blood work.  I'm trying to stay away from the scale but want to be aware of what's going on too.  Talk to your Dr. as  I will mine again.  I know there's no magic answer but they all say side effects can be controlled and we have to see to it for ourselves.  Marilyn

Hi! I've been following this group since my first chemo March 14th. I had my surgery Febr. 10. It has been wonderful to follow all of you and to see that what I'm going through actually seems pretty normal..strangely enough! I had my second (out of 6) chemo yesterday and I'm bouncing off the walls from my cortison. Anyway, I hope it's ok for a 51 year old Swedish woman to join your great group! I will apply for the facebook group as well. Take care and I hope everybody have a good day! /Anette

By the way- I just applied to the FB group . I hope I got it right!

before chemo my ca 27-29test came back at 35. Under 38 is negative. Now after my first chemo my score was 41 which makes me in the positive range. Why would my result go up into negative after chemo??? I'm very scare

I was told that they don't generally do tumor markers during chemo because chemo throws them off, but this is not something I know a lot about.

I am 6 days out on my 3/4 AC. Usually by day 5, I am good but this one has been the worst because I seem to have developed persistent low BP which is odd considering I normally take meds for high blood pressure. They had me go for IV fluids the other day but it really hasn't helped and I am of course off the meds. I have also had horrible stomach problems although I can still eat. I just feel sick afterward. Anyone else have these problems?

Isnogard - I finish up AC on 4/14 and start taxotere, herceptin, perjeta on 4/28. I was told that after AC, the other drugs will feel like a walk in the park so I am hoping that is true. The part that concerns me is the first one because some people have an allergic reaction. Hope yours goes well.
