Has anyone heard anything about the MLN0128 trial?

I'm in the washout period right now, hoping to get on this trial. It is a phase 1b/2 trial looking at a parc 1/2 inhibitor paired with exemestane or fulvestrant. You had to have failed on either of those drugs to get on trial (I have failed both). Since they are still in the safety/efficacy stage, I'm a bit worried, but my trial oncologist has someone doing well on this combo almost 2 years out, so worth a shot.

Well, I started this trial yesterday. Fingers crossed it is a winner. The drug is now also being called TAK-288. Yesterday I felt horribly nauseous, but I think it was a combination of fasting for hours (for blood work), faslodex shots, a kidney stone I'm trying to pass and the many vials of blood they took :) Today I still feel a bit off, but MUCH better than yesterday. I'll try to post here periodically with side effects/results. The University I go to seem to have a few people who are doing quite well, so I'm hopeful.

Good Luck and keep us posted. Kidney stone - just awful, I've been there.

Brandall -- Glad to see you post and that you were able to get on the trial! I hope the side effects will diminish and this will be a good regiment for you!

How did this turn out for you? I’m supposed to start it next week but don’t know if I’ll get the drug or just fulvestrant.
