Hello everyone! I am 29yrs old and recently moved to Orange County, California with my husband. Just yesterday I heard the most heart breaking news that I have IDC breast cancer.... I am feelig completely lost... It is only my husband and me living here and we have no other friends or family in town. Can someone please help me identify a good surgeon and an oncologist? I would appreciate any leads or help anyone can offer at this stage

    Hi Im not from California but IMO being treated at a university based teaching hospital is very important. Good luck...

    Thank you for responding. So what is IMO? I will keep your suggestion in mind about going to a teaching based hospital.

    Hi OCNi,

    IMO = in my opinion

    Just part of Internet slang. Variations on that theme you'll see here and there:

    IMHO = in my humble opinion

    IMNSHO = in my not so humble opinion

    BTW (By the way),there is a recent thread asking for surgeon recommendations in Orange County that had some responses. You might want to go to that thread.

    HTH (Hope that helps),
