My MRI results are in. I haven't read them myself (it takes a day or two for results to be posted to my online chart), but the nurse read it to me. The LCIS lesion found though US and biopsy is the only one that showed up on MRI. It is sitting on my chest wall, which concerns me. There is also an area at the back of the lesion that was not biopsied and appears to be heading toward a lymph node. To me this seems like we are not talking LCIS anymore but invasive. I know pathology is needed to confirm anything. But has anyone had suspected invasive process in their LCIS from the MRI. What about location on the chest wall?

I meet with the geneticist on April 4th and the oncologist on the 8th. Will have a plan for surgery then.

See? Good news! As long as it stays lcis, you're golden. Even if they find one ilc or two, you are still in great shape!

They found a total of 6 in one breast for me - 4 ilc, 2 lcis. One close to the chest wall. We got clear, but close, margins during the bmx, but my docs felt the risks of radiation for the close chest wall margin outweighed the benefits.

My gut tells me you are going to be just fine.

Yes, I'm definitely relieved that there appears to be nothing else. But given how sneaky lobular cancer is, I'm not doing a happy dance until this thing is out of me, analyzed, I I know for sure what is going on.
