Hello...have enjoyed learning so much from everyones posts. I am 34 & Noticed flaking skin on nipple last wee, went to Dr, she felt 3 lumps, ordered ultrasound. Had the ultrasound done this morning, but the tech said literally zero words....so no clue about whether she saw anything. I did see on screen she was marking an area and typed something, then switched on the Doppler thing...I am assuming this means she did at least find one of the lumps? Any thoughts?

Also wondering if having 3 means anything? I've had random pain on same one for several months & it is visibly bigger than normal, but no other symptoms besides the flaky skin.

    Hi Lcw111!

So sorry that you're dealing with some worrysome symptoms.

You must have had a very good tech. They aren't supposed to give you any hints about what they think, as their training is directed at obtaining good scans, not at interpreting whatever the scans show. But it's really hard to not say anything at all and not "give away" what they are thinking with body language, etc.

You shouldn't assume anything about the scan. And having three (or any other number) doesn't really mean anything.

The one thing you do want to have done is ask when (and how) you will get results--and then get copies of both the scans and the reports). If it's anything other than a copy of the ultrasound report (not the patient letter, but the actual report sent to your doctore), and a copy of the images (on a CD). That way, if you ever need them, you'll have them.

Hoping for B9 results for you!
