Nancy, your quest to live in whatever ways seem most meaningful to you will continue to guide you. One of the benefits of a strong, capable, and caring hospice team is their focus on supporting you in achieving whatever goals you have for this stage of your life, and I hope you will find your team supportive--not only for you but also for your precious husband and other family. I will keep you in my thoughts and remain hopeful that you will have peace of mind and heart, abiding comfort, deepening connections to that which is most important to you, and an abundance of love. In lovingkindness...

And people wonder what an angel looks like.. Well, I've met one here on earth. Didn't know they had names till learning her's is Nancy. Have no idea what is beyond .. Following our adventure living on this huge soccer ball.. Yet, I have already met an angel ;) ..

Knowing nothing is coincidential, I cherish each word I read from you Nancy.

    Love & hugs

    Nancy,

You and your family. remain in my thoughts and daily prayers. You are dear to many on these threads. You have helped more people than you know. It is not only the people who respond to your posts that are touched, but many, many more who are lurkers and only read what you offer to all of us. You show strength, compassion, support, love and kindness when it is needed. I hope you feel some of those same things being sent back to you. Let us know how you are doing.

To love & to be loved...thank you, dearest Nancy. We know this is how you've lived your life..we've experienced it~you~with your honest, kind, compassionate, brave words. May this next phase of life bring peace and the knowledge that yours has been a life well lived...albeit, too short for all who love you. I love Ebru's observation (and Ebru!)...that it's what's in your heart that makes one smile...thanks for sharing your hearts, you two :-)

Nancy, Thinking of you and sending love and sunshine to you and your family. One of the first posts I met you on was a fitness one and you were getting people to send a card to Soleil. I knew then what a wonderful spirit you had and it has always shone through. Michele

    Hi Nancy,

I don't login very often anymore, but I do check to see how you and some of the other women I communicated with are doing. I still feel connected to you and to them. I felt that I had to login to let you know how much your help and kindness has meant to me. However, I couldn't have said anything better than what Lisa/Olisad posted. You're a beautiful person, and I take comfort in your words and your empathy for others. There's no doubt that Ixempra is a tough treatment. Hospice will be an incredible help to you and your Husband. I hope you're pain free and living in comfort now. You've made a difference in my life and the lives of many others on this board. Take care my friend and always know that I'm thinking of you.

Thank you wonderful friends. Peggy - it is so great to hear from you! I think of you and Lisa and it warms my heart - thank you so much for staying in touch when I know it is painful to come back to the boards.

I feel pretty well this morning, though it has been another bumpy week. I tried to get fluid drained off my belly, but there wasn't enough to drain safely, only about 1/2 liter. My big, painful belly is all due to enlarged liver pushing against everything, so they can't do much about it. Hospice is fantastic, I absolutely love my nurse and social worker, they are perfect and have been really helpful. I'm sleeping a lot these days, but try to keep up and read the posts from time to time. We have a wheelchair so I can go out with DH and friends on brief outings to get out of the house, which is nice. The weather has been beautiful here, which is a total answer to prayer for me.

DH is taking over updating our blog. The blog probably has more info than anyone wants to read, but here's the link.

Thanks again gals, you are too good to me and I appreciate it so much.

Hmmm...thinking of you, logged on & there you were...happy me :-) I'm so glad you're getting outside to enjoy sunshine & friends...I know the outdoors is one of your happy places! Give your dearest DH a hug from all of us. Sorry it's been a rough week...but so grateful you're getting good support from your team. As always..sending love to you & a pic of our GD with a panda yesterday in Chengdu, China, home of a panda reserve. Hope it makes you smile...I think they're having a great chat. image

HI Nancy-I spent some time under the bone scanner today and while there, was praying for you and other special friends, so it was great to see your post tonight. Though we've never met face to face, I feel I have gotten to know you through your posts and have been impressed by your grace, kindness and compassion. Glad you are being supported and cared for by a great team.

Hugs to you and your DH.

Nancy I take fluid off every other day and find much relief from even a liter off. Perhaps they can try removing fluid off again. You will feel better. I think of you daily and pray for your comfort and peace. Your dogs on the blog were adorable and I wish you comfortable days. Thanks for sharing and updates. Best to you and your DH.

    imagehey Nancy,

Just had a look at your blog and reading through and looking at your beatiful pics once again, I felt so happy I have a friend like you 😊 Didn't know about your brief visit to Turkiye, but think it was just a short stop over as a part of your entire Europe trip.

I saw your adress but sending a card overseas probably isn't the most efficient way to say hi.. So I'll stick with posting here.

Best time of year to visit Cappadocia .. The baloons rise very early in the morning and with the sun rising, you enjoy the entire landscape..

    Hugs & love

    Ebru
