Avemar, Curcumin, ImmPowerEtc.

My girlfriend has a neck tumor, one in her chest, and one in her abdomen. She is 20 months into this and no chemo seems to work. A PET scan from three weeks ago shows the neck tumor to be the same, but the other two to be much smaller.

But now she has a bloated stomach, zero energy, and they had to remove a liter of peritoneal fluid the other day. The Dr. doesn't know yet if that means the cancer is spreading. We're waiting for lab results, but he is very puzzled by the color of the fluid, and thinks is also could be infection or inflamation. He hasn't seen this before. We're hoping it's benign.

She is moving to Halavan next week after a month or so of Ibrance. During the Ibrance she didn't take curcumin, per her naturopath. However she has been using Avemar for the past 2 months. We will see if she can resume curcumin. Of course when I mention natural remedies I can see that the doctor thinks I'm an idiot.

Does anyone have any thoughts about Avemar/UltraAve? Or ImmPower/AHCC? I have heard and read such good things about them (especially Avemar). But I'd also think they would be mainstream if it were effective.
