Good luck, Bekah!
I'd like to put out there a lake trip starting 6/10. That appears to be my last day of work until the 20th or something (head of school just got replaced due to total mismanagement - things are crazy confusing). I can host prior to the lake, we can stay at the lake longer than the weekend & folks can come back to LA after. I don't have a huge place but I think after all we shared sharing sleeping quarters won't be a problem. Obviously nothing is binding (:p) but I'd just like to see if this time frame works for folks.

Birthday lamas! I feel VERY special! Thanks everyone. I did have a great day. A start. A good start.
-
Great news Eileen! Let's keep the good news rolling!
So glad to hear you had a nice Birthday Katy. Hoping each day is as good as yesterday!
-
Just picked these. Wanted to share with my best girls. Lilacs and bluebells. These colors wouldn't work together well with clothes or home decor, but in nature, blooming together, it works! One of the great mysteries.

Beautiful!

jackbirdie - Happy Belated Birthday, and beautiful flowers!

Did my last Herceptin today and the emotional flood gates opened wide as I bawled my eyes out. It was a good emotional release but one that I wasn't expecting.
MO said he is worried more about my quality of life from Tamoxifen than he is the chronic cough but agreed that the chest CT was prudent. He wants me to stay off the Tamox for 3-5 weeks and then give it another try. I am post-menopausal according to labs so he said we can try the AIs and see how I react to those. He said women tent to have more joint pain on the AIs but at least he's willing to work with me.
Now prepping emotionally for another surgery on Monday and trying to be happy that Herceptin is DONE!
-
Bekah, sorry about the meltdown. I've been more anxious since Herceptin ended, dealing with that. Ugh.
Research D3 with K2 if you go on an AI. I found an article by a UCSD doctor that said it helps with joint and bone pain, and he thinks women should use those substances.
Feel better, and fingers crossed CT scan shows nothing
-
Bekah- so glad you're done with H. I hope the other issues resolve for you soon. Hugs.
-
eileen I'm so glad it was great news,!
Katy a very happy and belated birthday to you!
So I got the MRI of my right hip and it just has tendinitis!! Very good. My dentist says my jaw looks good and no sign of osteonecrosis there, just calcium deficiency...
I have a lot of pain in my hip all the time and with the strokes crap, cancer crap it's just a lot. Having someone I thought was a friend turn their back on me...I just lost it today. Broke down and cried and fell asleep. But not until I was a bitch to my husband For no reason.
The guilt sucks. I'm getting good news at but for things I resent. Like a motorized wheelchair. Be glad you say but I'm so mad I need that damn thing.
I did get housecleaning through my church, but felt embarrassed the whole time. I just asked her to sweep and mop after she looked around and seemed , in my mind, a bit off put. I was he her I can't bend over and she said her back spasms too. I started to tell her my whole story and just stopped. I don't care anymore. I'm always explaining myself. Screw it, you know?
-
bekah congratulations on last herceptin! I know how prepping for surgery is. Thinking of you.
-
Amber- you have a right to be angry. I'm so sorry and am sending hugs. I hope you can find a way to accept some help during this time. I know it's hard to. I know it's hard feeling like you have to explain yourself. You will find a balance. I wish I could help in some way. I am glad for the little bits of good news which have come your way. Sending healing thoughts to lift you up. 💗💞🎈🎈🎈🎈💞💗🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
-
Congrats, Bekah, and glad for the scan. Go kiss your husband and see if you can both let it go.
Amber, you don't need to explain or apologize to people who are helping you.
-
I'm better today. Pain is bad. It will be ok
-
I'm sorry you're having such pain.
-
Amber- thinking of you. Sending hugs.
-
Amber, big hugs, so sorry about all you are dealing with. No words of wisdom, just want you to know I'm thinking about you
-
Sorry you are in such pain Amber. Hoping you are feeling a bit better today. Hugs!
PB
-
Hoping the pain eases Amber.
-
Thinking of you Bekah! Sorry about the pain you're in Amber.
-

Eileen: We have been in Sedona and now we are in Palm Desert. I had crappy internet reception and we were just busy in Sedona. This was my f -it, I don't care how much I spend after cancer for a fun vacation trip. We were supposed to fly to the Grand Canyon and take a helicopter ride today but it was too windy so they canceled it. Kids were disappointed but they understood. Just enjoying the warm. It was really windy today so chilly but they kids were still able to swim.
Bekah: Congrats on your last Herceptin!
Amber: Hugs. I understand about trying to explain. You are trying to be a nice person. But I agree. Don't bother.
