Introduction and questions
Hello everyone : )
I'd like to introduce myself and ask about how receptive the group would be to my work and my desire to be a resource to anyone interested in my thoughts on alternative cancer topics.
First, my motivation. Over the years I've lost several family members to cancer. During each bout/fight, I had always been torn between the energy I had to devote to earning a living and what I could provide as a caregiver. I felt that even though I know I did all I could given the circumstances, I never was able to help as much as my heart wanted to. Even years after, I found it gnawing at me that couldn't be as available and focused - especially for investigating options, others' experiences, alternatives, etc.
As a way to finally deal with my feelings, honor the memory of my family members, and hopefully be a helpful resource to those who are exploring alternative cancer approaches, three years ago I undertook an ambitious project. I began reading alternative cancer books and creating custom indexes for each book, and then merging each book's index into a "master index." My goal has been to kind of let the combined content of this master index readily reflect the topic patterns that appear most (and deepest) among the books. The effort has been immense! And I still have years to go before it fills out to the point where I can stand back from it and feel that it can stand on it's own. But I've literally spent thousands of hours buried in alt. cancer books and Internet investigations. Maybe it's time to share a bit? : )
Anyway, before I get too long winded here, I'm going to ask two specifics of the group:
Are you interested in my participation here? (I'm a very sincere person, and it's vitally important to me that I "fit" and feel welcomed.)
Is it ok to provide a link to a specific resource I've created to share anecdotal cases of breast cancer recovery? (I don't sell products)
Thank you all for your consideration,
CB

Hi CB, I am interested...
-
Moderators have asked that I not participate further, as I'm not currently a caregiver. (I misunderstood the rules. My cared-for loved one passed away years ago.)
I just wanted to explain my disappearance - so my non-replies aren't perceived as disrespectful, etc.
My sincere best to all,
CB

Damn. . . if you're still lurking, cancerbooks, have you thought of becoming a cancer coach? Or starting a blog? 9 Ways a Cancer Coach Can Help You Beat Cancer Of course your main clientele would be those seeking to merge comp/alt with conventional care.
