Nancy, you have handled your journey with such grace, a true inspiration for the rest of us. It seems you have made peace with the decisions being made in your behalf. May you continue to find comfort. I am a liver metser myself. I will try to live by your example.
Continue to let us know what you need from us. Love, Melani

Nancy,
I have heard that ixempra was a tough one so it sounds like you made a good choice. Lots of tough conversations, but I'm glad family and friends were there to hear them and understand. Thinking of you and enjoy that sunshine!

Good Morning, Friend. Thinking of you always.
-
Nancy, your genuine, warm, caring, thoughtful presence has been a part of my BCO experience since I first joined in 2006. Your tenacity, passion for life, and hope have shined especially bright during these last years, and your spirit continues to shine as you find yourself in the midst of a crossroads. Whatever path you choose, I hope you will remember that you are surrounded and held by love and respect. And I mean truly surrounded and held. I hope that brings you solace no matter what. In lovingkindness always...

Dearest Nancy,
Just logged on and saw this. You already read how much all of us love you and admire your positive attitude throughout.. Not going to repeat that..
You are blessed to have that DH ! You are blessed to be the person you are ! Nothing will ever change that.
I sincerely wish we met, hug for as long as we both felt it.. That our souls are beyond our bodies. Rotting away each day myself, I keep smiling, often reminding myself of you, my rockstar friend, not letting this crap halt her LIVING.
Sitting at a cafe and looking around, I see lots of beautiful, healthy, wealthy people, not smiling. And I smile more.
Having witnessed you cherish your life and still do (I believe your choice with Ixempra proves it), I know this is the greatest gift any husband could ever have. And he is one of the luckiest men EVER, being with you.
None of us are sick, we have cancer. Sickness heals. We deal with cancer. At some point, the deal is over.. That's my opinion.
My lovely friend, I trust your guts as much as your stamina and send my love and hugs from the other side of the world. So blessed I am to have learned English, so that I can feel what I read from you & can express my feelings for you.

Thinking about you Nancy

Hi Nancy,
Many blessings for your family and you as you enter this hospice phase.
May you all be supported by loving, caring hospice team members.
May you experience this precious period as one of peace and resolution.
May all of you feel and express the "magic words" for dying, "Thank you. I forgive you. Please forgive me. Good bye and I love you."
Your sister in hospice, Stephanie

Nancy, sometimes we go through life not entirely realizing what a profound effect our words and actions have on others, and I want you to know how deeply you're admired and how dearly you're loved. Your ability to draw people to you, and to feel inspired and supported by you, is a gift beyond price.
I hope that each day brings you the presence of loved ones along with gentle sunshine upon you.
-
I sincerely hope that you have many, many days to be surrounded by your family and friends. I wish you peace and comfort.

Nancy,
I came here, initially, because I was scared. I stayed because lovely humans like you helped me navigate a creature I hadn't known. Stupid cancer. It was harrowing. Your peace and wisdom were remedies for both Tanya and I. I am an interloper. Just someone who loved another that had to live with cancer that found this place that I don't really belong. I have written to you as if i know you. Which isn't the case. I look for your posts - I think for a connection to someone who is gone. And to learn how you, a stranger who made another feel welcome, are doing. When I read your posts, I am reminded of Tanya, and Leprechaun and Konakat and SinCityDealer and Chainsawz and LowRider and so many more that had only the connection of cancer and a computer to move through, breathe, give advice, listen, rail, laugh and learn. I glean from your kindness to everyone on the boards. Your answers are gentle and assuring -- to the daughter looking for advice regarding her mom you wrote, 'didn't want you to feel you've gone unnoticed, someone will be along soon that can answer you." They are wise and thoughtful. They are informative and empowering. Nancy, for you and your husband, family and pals, pain free days ahead, filled with the warmth and joy of being among those you love. And for those, like me, strangers who know you only by the advice you'v shared, the kindness you've given and the conquering spirit you embody - thank you for being part of our (my) lives. Lisa
