North my favorite places of it all around here,
North of Portugal of course I live here,
and Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria and all that part
of the North coast that goes until the border with France.
Robbin, that pic of your daughter is fantastic
it reminded me of a painting ... can not remember which ...
Suzie, great sunset at your place! -
Well I went searching for castles and so on my PC BUT ...
but, but, but, but ... got distracted coz
came across with something quite interesting,
something I found inside and around
a castle around here.
THE KNIGHTSSSSSSSSSSSZZZZZZZZZZZZ.
Since we have a castle in this thread here,
we better have the knights too.
This was taken in a Medieval Fair in summer 2005,
in and out of a castle,
at a town on the interior of Portugal,
in this Fairs everything until the last detail
is recreated according to those times, EVERYTHING.
Sorry, but only now
I'm paying close attention to this pics...
Let's see this closer ...
Nice baton ...
very colorful, took a lot of painting I bet ...
Nice hair cut too ...
See?
Every detail is according with those times, even the ...
mmmm ... the saddles on the horses, for instance.
In an huge pile of interesting things I found on this
particular Fair, was this;
This was the shop and workshop of a Medieval Goldsmith,
everything in there decor and so,
including his jewelry pieces, his tools,
and the way he was dressed of course, was a perfect
recreation of those times until the tiniest detail,
he did a great job.
In there it was written "Complaining Book".
Hugs. -
Does this class as a knight??
