Pain in opposite armpit

Hi all,

I have been a member for a while, but I think this is my first post.

I had wide local excision (lumpectomy) in October 2014, then axillary clearance in November 2014 followed by FEC-T chemo and radiotherapy along with 5 days of boost.

I developed lymphoedema in right (affected) breast straight away during radiotherapy, but in November last year my left armpit started hurting, I have been to GP (primary care in UK) twice, she referred me back to the breast surgeon who said there is no sign of recurrence - but gave me no explanation of why the pain was there.

Does anybody have any experience of this or any ideas what it could be?  I am back to GP tomorrow to see what next.

Thank you all who reply.

Hi I will be a year out from a second round of rads.

First was 2009 and then 2015. Same side once with a breast then again without b/l mx.

So any way about two weeks ago I was told my tumor markers went up. So I went for a pet scan they found nodes on the opposite side axilla. I've never had nodes envolved. Stage 1 negative nodes. It's stressful I had a biopsy this week hope to results tomorrow.

I feel fine seemed totally cured what cure ball. I'm not sure if Rads can do this on the opposite side. Really don't know what to think.

I will post outcome tomorrow :)
