happy you are home. That port will help in the future. I would be miserable if I didn't have it. But it took awhile to become friends with it

Patty, the Wildlife Refuge contains both seasonal and permanent wetlands, forest, and grasslands. It is about 10 thousands plus acre within the delta and is a destination of migrating water birds. I have seen great blue herons, Swainson's hawk, Canadian geese, and cranes.

So today was a little better. Just have no energy and the nausea is horrible. Slept most of the day and just woke up.
Looking forward to a Sunday with family all being home tomorrow. Might venture out to city park and let the boys ride theur bike trails.
Love to each of you

Um......Ms. CHEVY, your message for Patty flew to the wrong box ( ms. BLONDIE's).
Patty, so happy to hear you got your port and are feeling better. It reflects in your writing. Okay, let me see if I could trace the fly away message.

Peppermint! You little Dickens! Just thinking about you..... and how you ALWAYS make me feel good, just because you have the best out-look on life! I know things are rough for you, but you seem to find a little good in every day.... even if it's just checking the plants in the Hospital!
Love you girl! xoxoxo

Hi Patty, glad you are out and about. Spring here is finally happening. Hope it's nice in Jonesboro. Donnie and I are doing good. Better and better all the time. Essex is often visited. Hope for you too
. Did a new recipe in the crock pot. Sloppy Joe's on Martin buns. Sounds crazy to mention the bun, but Martin's is a sweet bun which contrasts the sourness of the SJ's. Loved it. If you increase the meat don't increase the ingredients. If the white vinegar is too sour for you reduce the amount or increase the brown sugar.
3lbs 90% lean ground beef ( I added a 1lb of mild sausage and did 4.5 on the beef)
1 cup chopped onion
3 cloves garlic minced ( I used the pre-minced)
1 1/4 cups ketchup (Hunt's, even though I almost doubled the meat, I didn't double this, if it seems dry add more)
1 cup chopped red pepper ( I forgot this, didn't miss it, but sounds good)
5 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce ( never had a recipe with this amount, but I went with it)
1/4 cup brown sugar ( next time I likely will double)
3 tablespoons vinegar ( I used white, methinks I inadvertently doubled this, explains why it was so sour)
3 tablespoons prepared mustard
2 teaspoons chili powder
I precooked meat in the microwave and drained the fat
Combine all ingredients in the crock pot.
Cover; cook on low for 6-8 hours. Can be less b/c meat is precooked.
Patty I did this for the meet and greet family party for Steve. It was a hit. Basic recipe said 12 servings. I had leftovers, but rough calculation was 32 or more servings. Will do it again in a flash. Not quite sure what to do about the vinegar. I guess I will have to do it by taste. 3 Tbl =1/4 cup. My memory is pouring a half cup. But can't say for sure. Maybe I only poured half in the half cup. BUMMER, the sourness is what everyone raved about.
-
thanks sas. Can't wait to try the new recipe. Sounds delicious. Glad you both are on the mend.
HI Madelyn
