    Good morning friends!

I have company here so on the run, but wanted to share another bloom from time around town yesterday. We went to Old Town and I snapped this one of the plum tree near the church.

All the beautiful, beautiful blooming trees. Hoping to get a chance to walk around over the next few weeks and see what's blooming.

Balthasar: The shed does look like a pic out of a magazine or tourism guide-of somewhere I would love to be.

Teak. LOVE the kitten-williow. Saved that pic.

Jazzi I am searching for the socks. Did she find them with the oussy willow with the kittens??

    Asante

Wow, lots of spring blooms. I see I need to move to Oregon, Texas, or New Mexico! I have no blooms, but my neighbor's crocuses are blooming, and I saw a robin and a bluebird this past week. My neighbor was out raking her beds so I got out to do the same - raking up the old hosta leaves and digging some grass out. There's nothing like garden therapy.

Balthus, I also love that beautiful bright shed!

TwoHobbies.. my neighbour has a wonderful garden and I'm always enjoying the things that are blooming in theirs too.. some of them hang over my fence. I always tell them I get the pleasure of their garden , and they get all the work 😃 Your right.. Gardening is great therapy!

TwoHobbies, what state do you live in?

I spent time reddin' up the backyard today, too. Ran the cordless hedge trimmer over some of the evergreen shrubs to whip them back into shape then raked up the debris.

Yesterday I moved a green garden bench off the back porch into an area in the yard and spray painted it a brownish-bronze color. It was so quick and easy and fun to do. I at first thought I was going to have to get out the paint and paintbrush for a tedious chore but found some left over spray paint just the right color. Jumped in the car, went and bought a few more cans the same color and voila! Looks great

Looks so nice, Lucy! I'm a big fan of symmetry. As the coleus get larger, they will look even prettier with the brick background

Lucy, its great to have neighbors who plants beautiful things you can enjoy too! I'm glad you joined us. I look forward to seeing what grows in Australia. Your coleus remind me of my mom because she always planted coleus on her north facing porch. Those are so pretty against the brick of your house. Love your frog too!

MrsM I'm north of Chicago. How much earlier is everyone's spring? My sedums are sprouting and I do have daffodils about 4 inches out of the ground and irises popping through. We are definitely trending upward but still some frost at night.

I put my two planters in the garage last year and I think the geraniums and something else that I can't identify at the moments may be alive. I see green so when frost passes I'll bring them out and see how they look.

Hi ladies- I was up super early to take my friend to the airport (and with the time change, ugh) after a busy couple day visit. We walked around the neighborhood yesterday to see the spring blooms and here are some highlights. I promise to post a pic of my weeping cherry today or tomorrow, just about in full bloom and so pretty.

Pictures from yesterday are red bud and magnolia

Jazzy, Really beautiful. We used to go to eastern OK where the foothills begin to see the redbud and dogwood blooming together.

In the back yard this past hour, a red tailed hawk looking for something tasty to eat. I did this close up and also noticed the cottonwood it was sitting in is budded out!

I hope to post the final full bloom of the weeping cherry tomorrow. The top is almost fully out now and a photo in the early morning is the prettiest! Stay tuned!

Despite having a dragging butt today with time change and company for days, I did get out to the back yard and cleaned out and pruned another section of the yard. As you know, it is a never ending process to clean out and prep the gardens for spring!
