hello

I finished 6 rounds of aggressive chemo Dec 7th , 2015, 30 rounds radiation Feb 19th. I am so exhausted every night I'm in bed by 730 to 830. Is there an average amount of time till I get my energy back? I start 5 years of arimidex latter this week.

Thank you

Have your Vit D le el checked. Many are low in D especially this time of year (Seasonal Affective Disorder). Thyroid could also be something to check.

These treatments are fatiguing. Keep drinking a lot of fluids, eating protein, and giving your body enough time to heal.

I am also post chemo (6 treatments) and post surgery and am now on my 4th week of radiation and I am so tired some days that I can barely keep my eyes open or move. I'm taking vitamin D (they found me vitamin D deficient during labs for chemo) but I'm super tired all of the time, more tired than I was with chemo (although chemo had way more negative side effects). My oncologist says it's the build up of the radiation and that it will go away once I finish. She recommends that I get lots of rest and have others do things for me at home. I'm working right now, so that probably doesn't help. I'm so exhausted sometimes at work that I fall asleep at my desk!!! I go to bed usually as soon as I get home and try to get as much rest as possible. I go to bed at 7:30pm - 8:00pm every night and I have a family that thinks I'm boring!! I've been tired since I found out I have cancer!
