Just feeling panicky .........
hey gang,
So I had my 6 month follow up appt. Yesterday .
All seemed ok, blood pressure a little high but, I need to ex resize more and eat better for sure. So my MO does not do tumor markers . He does take my blood and a routine red and white blood count. So I asked him about my counts and he said oh your red count is great . Your white is a little high but your probably fighting something?????? Ok , then he said don't worry see you on 6 months.... What could that mean and has anyone had high white counts on check ups?
Just feeling panicy.. Any good news on this would be awesome!!! Xo

A cold, virus, cut on body part. That's what wbc do, fight infections.

Yep. I'd go with the body is fighting something. There are so many things that the body needs to fight it seems all the time. Long before cancer I've always had a little above normal wbc count and it always turned out to be nothing. I wouldn't worry about it.

Hi Sorry for your stress but you need to demand the tumor marker. I know it maybe not warranted but here's my sob story .
I had a scare with my white count the first time after Rads. They went up quite a bit my doctor came in and gave me the news it was concerning to him. I said repeat it,it just wasn't logical. Radition can do this but not usually for Rads to the breast. It was like I had leukemia. They came back normal. Some how it was mistake.
I went for f/u feeling awesome. Last week I was called my markers shot up. I asked for repeat of course . But not a mistake this time. So off to get a Pet Scan. Results received I have a lymph node under my armpit.
Not swollen I had no Idea. Mind you my white count wasn't a issue. But crap. I Started with stage 1.
No breast and two bouts of Rads later I'm climbing up the ladder quickly.
So all I'm saying is if a Doctor says he doesn't do that ask why not. Every one has opion. Make sure it's yours as well.
I need to have the node removed. And I asked for a Mri first!!!!
I wish you the best.
