    I have ILC Triple Negative Breast Cancer and I hated being diagnosed as triple negative because I felt that no hormone treatments were available to me and this was a bad thing, but now the thought just struck me that these hormone treatments are there to block both ER and PR form fuelling the cancer so if I am ER, and PR negative then there is no need for me to try and block these hormones because my cancer is not fuelled by them anyway.  The same for HER2-.    Is this right thinking or am I clutching at straws ???

    Now I know that sometimes these hormone treatments can be substituted for chemo and I am wondering is this the reason that triple negative is so unpopular ?

    On second thoughts I think I have figured this out myself.  If you have Triple Pluses it means you can control your cancer with hormones that stop your cancer from growing, but if you are Triple Negative then you don't have that option and you are relying on chemo to do the job for you.  Would that make sense?
