Ruth be very careful, you know how sick I was after San Francisco it was a full month for me to recover, so rest, rest, rest. Good to see you Sweet, saw that you were getting snow flurries brrrrr. Mysunshine glad the hip is behaving you're going to give your core a good workout balancing in a bobbing boat. Patoo you've certainly had a full day of exercise.
Tonight went to Cardio Dance Party class. -
Please be good now, Ruth! Hope you feel better soon. Haha, Cheryl and LB! Wish I could sing and yodel, too.
Lovely pic, Lynn. Looking forward to more photos from the regatta. Wow, such a big turnout, Claire! I'm tempted to attack some chilly hills here as well.
Salsa last night.

Good morning my sculpted friends. Walked for an hour Sunday and 20 mins at work Mon. Yesterday did 45 mins Shovel & Sculpt early in the morning as a surprise for DH but he ended up shoveling another three inches on top of the four I'd already done. At least we're only responsible for one place now. One can hope this is Old Man Winter's last blast but we're never really in the clear until Mother's Day (US).
Mary, we had our house sold to a friend of mine so never put it on the market, much to the chagrin of my nosy former neighbor who mentioned she didn't see the listing LOL. That's one reason I took such care to have the place very clean upon our exit.
((Ruth)) rest my dear, hard for you I know but a chance to catch up on your reading. ♥ to all

Mysunshineshine/Lynne, lovely to see and read your St. Marrten good time and the parties look like fun (photo from heinekenregatta.com) :
Thanks for the aqua Zumba response Patoo and Cheryl both opposite yet balanced views. HeidiHill, oh I'll bet you can yodel. Ruth, feeling a bit better today - hope so!
Vi box at the gym and tai chi in the WI hall this morning.

Just got back to condo from a very long walk and a water taxi trip to Marigot, the capital of the French side of the island. Then, we went to a meeting about starting volunteering tomorrow. Pictures are of the water taxi boats to go out to the sailboats. Others are just a couple of boats that were coming through the drawbridge when we were at the meeting.
-
Beautiful!
-
Ruth. . .rest and get well. Mysunshine beautiful pixs. Can't wait to see more. Aqua Zuma might work for me if I could find a class. Can't do regular Zuma because of my lower back. Cheryl. . . Yikes you are really dedicated to get out in that weather.
Got my Fitbit Blaze last night. Bigger than I imagined. Some cool functions but music play function has bugs. I've been on the forums whining about that.
That said, I'm at the gym feeding the Blaze.

Phyllis.....that's funny! She does like to eat!
-
Finally getting back to my regular walking....made it to 15K today.....the most I've done in several days....Really windy today, but still got 3 walks.
Ruth hope you are on the mend.
-
I still feel pretty miserable. I just emailed my doctor asking if he could prescribe something different for the cough, as the stuff he gave me seems to be totally ineffective. BLAH!
-
Hi ladies- I went to one of my favorite yoga classes last night for 1 hour and 15 min. Yoga appeals to me more lately than anything else!
Lilac- I am doing better with the gym. I am figuring out when I can get their for my weight workouts without dealing with the kids hanging on the machines. I plan to go later today, and do more this weekend. The weather is beautiful here and plan to start biking outside next! Thanks for asking!
Ruth- sorry your cough has been so awful. I hope you have safe travels.
-
I am home now, so that is a good thing!
-
Oh, Ruth - so hoping you start to feel better soon. You are one of the first ones to assure newbies who are fresh out of surgery that they will get their strength back, but that they need to give their bodies time to heal, and shouldn't do too much too soon because that might delay healing and trigger other issues. Time for you to take your own advice, young lady!
Sunshine - loving the pictures. Patoo - too funny about the invisible cat. Claire - loved the picture of all the cyclists lined up ready to board the ferry.
I've had an annoying week. I never did get my new Garmin VivosmartHR to sync, and finally had to send it back. I'm awaiting the delivery of the replacement. And it turned out that I really did hurt myself during that Zumba class last Saturday. It was still really painful, so I finally went to the doctor. The ankle tendon isn't torn thankfully, but I have some nasty tendinitis. The doctor gave me a compression support wrap for it and said to try to minimize using the ankle, and specifically said no running for a week to ten days. I have a 5 mile St. Pat's Race I really want to run on the 12th, so it's going to be touch and go as to whether I can do that or not. I guess I need to take Ruth's advice too! The good part is that swimming doesn't bother it, so I won't lose all my cardio in the next week. Maybe I'll do that half mile swim this weekend like Ginger does.
-
You have had an annoying week, Mary. GRRRRR to all of it & do what the doctor says. My cardio/toning/flexibility are all going to be in the tank once I get back at it.......but, oh well, it is good to have the opportunity to start again.
Just heard from the doc, who is calling in a cough prescription that involves codeine, so I am pretty excited about that. Ha!
-
Ruth the one with codein is the one where I had my vivid dreams ........
And just want to say what a crummy way to spend your birthday, but Haopy Birthday Ruth
-
Thanks, Cheryl. I'll report back if I have any interesting dreams. I am thinking the cup in picture #2 looks just about right!
-
Jazzy. good that you are making it work. Oh Mary, what a bummer, and hole the wrap does the trick. Cheryl, too funny and Ruth, you know what to do; enjoy the new cough syrup.
Tai chi in the morning and yoga this afternoon.
-
Enjoyed a long codeine induced nap this afternoon (no dreams)!
-
Really lost out on steps today. . .new Blaze was not counting half of them. Tomorrow I will be wearing both the Blaze and the FitbitHR to compare.
Nasty weather today. . .sleet and rain, but it's supposed to be gorgeous this weekend.
Ruth. . .Wishing you good dreams and rst.

Ruth...hope your pcp gives you something that helps. Feel better. Karen
-
Happy Birthday ruthbru, even if you spent it napping. Knowing you, you will make up for the lost celebration once you are fit again.
Just a 7 mile bike ride today. Kitty made an appearance today. Funny cat! Think she is playing with me to make sure I don't cheat and go each day to find out if she will come out. Hmmm, smart cat!
Night sculpted friends.

Oh my goodness! Just got back from my water taxi volunteer job. One tired girl! I did not take my phone, so no pictures tonight, but there sure are some crazy people here!
Glad my kitty is being a good girl.
-
Ruth, make some ginger tea by putting a ton of sliced ginger in boiling water. I still have some residual cough from a bug I had a month ago. I've been cheating and using ginger tea bags, which are not as strong.
Own body weight exercises at home last night. Tango the night before.
Edited to add: Happy Birthday, Ruth! Some bubbly could work wonders!
-
Happy Belated Birthday Ruth!! Hope you got some good sleep and are on the mend.
Quarter mile lap swim after work yesterday.
-
1 hour water aerobics class this morning. Maybe ride bike or walk later.
-
Hi all! Just checking in as it's been awhile. I promise I have been working hard. I signed up for a winter running series with a friend and it has been so much fun. I missed the first run due to a nasty flu bug, but I've earned a medal in all four of the other runs we have done so far and I'm currently in 6th place overall in the series for my age division. Not bad! I'm the one in the middle in the first photo. They reward us with alcohol and cookies at the end of most of these runs. We have been having a blast! I just started training for my first half marathon. Ugh! Not sure about this, but going to see how the training goes. Ran 8 miles last Saturday and it didn't kill me, so I'll keep going. Stay tuned... Oh, and I just had my one-year anniversary on Arimidex. One down... four to go! Hope I make it...
Ruth, do take care of yourself! Sorry this illness messed up your vacation. Hope you are on the mend soon. Take care, all!
-
Meljo, great pictures & great fun! Congratulations! You look healthy and beautiful!
The codeine is wonderful. I had an entire night of good solid sleep, which I think I need more than anything else. I did have several strange dreams; in one, DH ran into Hillary Clinton at Walmart and invited her over to the house. I was not at all happy; the house was a mess and not at all clean (like it is at the present moment). I was down in the basement working out and was all sweaty, with no makeup, dirty hair etc. I wouldn't even come upstairs to say hello!
-
Ruth - sounds like you've been watching too much election coverage!!!
-
Ruth lol. . .I've had too many of those kinds of dreams throughout this journey so far. Same reaction with pain meds.
Meljo wow kudos. . . I hope someday I can run again. I have a degenerated L5/S1 and they told me no hiking or hills. So far, I've proved that wrong, so who knows.
Went back to PT after month-long hiatus due to long work hours. I have lost ROM, so my guy tried really hard to stretch my pecks.OUCH! Now I'm a the gym feeding two fitbits and trying to do light weights.
Tomorrow my dd's BF flies in for 5 days of getting to know us. I agreed to this months ago and I am sooo not ready.
