Thinking about Hope everyday! Thanks for the updates Woody...

Woody, Thank you for the updates on Hope, I am praying the radiation will help Hope with the bone mets pain, I believe my recent radiation (though torture since getting on the table nearly kills me) has really helped me a lot with my bone mets (was severe prior), and I hope radiation will do the same for Hope. Also, I spent a week in the hospital on a palliative care floor - they were able to get me to the right dose of morphine - too little was keeping me in pain, and the higher dose making me sick/exhausted - finding the right dose and also using liquid morphine, not solid morphine which wasn't working (and I never would have found this out at home, without the help of the excellent palliative care nurses and docs during my hospital stay) - this was the key - I hope that Hope is getting some expert advice and will soon get some relief of her pain and the exhaustion that comes with it. I am also using the Lidocaine patch on my rib fracture, and it seems to be working (not as effective for spine, but good for rib fractures (I have a bad rib fracture that I thought was another spine fracture since it is a rib that wraps around to the spine) - the patch does work well on rib fractures if Hope has any of those, and you can use it longer than directed, doc said just remove it for 4 hrs/day. Keeping Hope and her family in my prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with you, Hope, and with your family. You are a special friend to so many of us. Wishing you treatment that brings relief and comfort and peace. We are supposed to warm up on the central coast this weekend and I hope that you can enjoy the warmth with your family.
Holly, my thoughts and prayers are with you too! My oncology center has been expanding its palliative care services and adding more MDs and nurses and support. It sounds like you are getting great care!
Woody, thank you so much for keeping us informed about Hope. Please let her know that we are all thinking of her...

Woody, Hope is frequently on my mind. I was not too far from where she lives last weekend (the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley), and I thought about her and tried to send healing vibes to her as I looked out over the absolutely beautiful countryside, looking towards the Pacific. Fingers crossed that she's feeling better today and will be well enough to get chemo tomorrow or very soon. Deanna

Just saw this research posted on another thread, and immediately thought of Hope, so thought I'd repost the link here:

I didn't know updates regarding Hope could be found here-Thank you so much - I think of her every day as well and worry and think and wonder- and more worry, and prayers are always with her. My heart started to burn as I read the updates, but I will never stop pulling for Hope, or give up Hope. I don't post much, but feel a kinship to Hope as we both live in the same town and know some of the same people.God Bless you Hope-sending rays of sunshine and many gentle (((((huggs))))

Hi, I don't post a lot, but I do read a lot! I'm wondering if anyone knows how Hope (Romansma) is doing? Did the chemo help? I feel close to her as I am from Ventura and I am on Ibrance. She is the pioneer and gives me hope. Sending peaceful healing to Hope and her family. They are on my heart
