Pain in Implants after BMX and Capsular contracture

I wanted to find out if others had similar pain to me after implant placement. I had a straight to implant, but am not sure the pain isn't more about implant weight and healing thatTE's also have.

My breast with minimal cancer is doing well, but I get aching and itching in the Lat and Pec muscles. On the side with most of the Cancer, the dr. took a small piece of tissue out under the nipple, as it didn't develop circulation. The dermal matrix pocket holding the implant in had a lot of scar tissue from the beginning. It's really getting hard and tight, so now it's an advanced capsular contracture. I meet with my PS in 2 weeks to talk about what to do next.

How did others have their surgeon treat Capsular contracture? I'm waiting for a hip replacement, so I couldn't handle fat grafting too, which I also need. A compression garment would be too painful. So if he can remove the scar tissue and reposition the implant, that would be enough right now.

After 4 months the pain is really getting to me, and wonder what others Plastic surgeons have done in similar circumstances.

ULTRASOUND!! I had pain for 1 year after the exchange and was told by my PS I had capsular contracture early stage 4 due to the hematoma I developed after the exchange. I read on the internet that ultra sound with massage by a physical therapist helped some women. I gave it a try since I wanted to avoid another surgery. After 16 sessions of ultrasound with immediate massage by my wonderful PT named Lynn Lee in Castaic, California, and much prayer, my capsular contracture is 95% better. US broke up the shell of the scar tissue and now I no longer have pain, pulling and discomfort in the breast that had the CC. IT WAS MY MIRACLE! My PS never told me about doing ultrasound. He wanted to go directly to surgery. I highly recommend going this route before another surgery. It worked for me! I can lift weights and do push ups now. I could not do this without pain and discomfort before the ultrasound.

How do you go about finding a qualified physical therapist, and how does ULTRASOUND work in this situation? Eight weeks ago I had my implants changed out, after 13 years, and although seemingly healed, I've developed pain and swelling in the right side...I haven't been in to see the PS, but the PA said it might be a seroma or hematoma...She recommended for me to massage and to "watch it"...I really don't know anything about this massage thing, so I'd rather have a qualified practitioner, in this field, to do this...I'd like to try anything before needing surgery...Any suggestions...

I suggest calling reputable PT's and asking if they do ultrasound and massage after reconstruction for capsular contracture. Not everyone does. But, first I would see your PS ASAP if you are having swelling and it may be a hematoma or seroma. This could lead to an infection. I had a hematoma and my PS performed emergency surgery the next day.
