Marijuana Kills Cancer Cells... Updated NCI fact page

Do you have a little balcony that you could grow a potted plant on?
-
I just wanted to let you know that I saw an advertisement for a show on Marijuana/CBD/THC (I think?) on the History2 channel. The show is scheduled for tomorrow night (time?). It is being aired on their show called welcome to Viceland7pmEST. or Weediquette (using marijuana to alleviate cancer symptoms) at 10:00pmEST. As I get more clear information I will update for you but the advertisement looked like there will be a segment on using it for more than symptoms.
-
Thanks, MusicLover, for the info. I'll check it out.
Update: Looks like the H2 channel is beoming Viceland channel. Chief Executive Shane Smith also has the HBO show "Vice." He did have a segment on Vice a while back about the legalization of marijuana and operations in Colorado and Washington that I saw and was pretty good. On Directv the show is 2/29 on Channel 271 at 8 p.m. MST (6:00 pm EST). http://www.vice.com/read/how-to-watch-viceland -
Bjsmiller, Your welcome. After doing more reading I think that H2 is going to change names to Viceland. I think that the there may be several shows on marijuana but I am certain that they are going to include a show about using it for battling cancer.
Ok, so Weediquette will be a regular show on this new channel called Viceland (formerly H2). You can watch the trailer in the above link. I think it make take a view episodes before we get any valuable information and it may only be hopeful information, nothing truly concrete but we'll see.
-
Bjsmiller, I just scrolled back and realized that you found more information on this new show also, thank you for posting. Hopefully, we will get some good information from it.
-
I don't get that channel, so I'll be looking forward to hearing what you all think of the show.
I did find another show called Weed 3: the marijuana revolution. Description says: The mysteries surrounding marijuana. That's on HLN channel Monday at 5PM Eastern time.
-
JMHO, but you might want to take everything you hear or see on anything VICE or the new Viceland with a grain of salt, or at the very least confirm anything you hear. The guy is Canadian (as am I) so we all know a little about him....most importantly, that he lies. All of this was his Creative Director, Spike Jonez' idea. You're probably fully aware of who he is. Please don't think I'm telling you it's worthless, I don't know that, but I do know the main goal of the whole VICE media conglomerate is geared more towards entertainment than it is research and news.
-
Leggo, I think that you are correct about the fact that it is geared more toward entertainment. I don't know anything about Spike Jonez but I appreciate your warning.
-
the show tomorrow that glennie references is being moderated by Sanjay Gupta. Might be worth watching. Weed 3 the marijuana revolution

Thanks, glennie, for the info on that other show which I'll check out, too. I think I saw on the Viceland website that their episodes will be online, too.
Thanks also, leggo, for the warning. I'm interested to watch though because, so far, I've found the programs on Vice to be pretty good and informative.
-
Now I wish I had a television can we watch it on line?
-
Wendy, Bjsmiller said they will be available online.
-
Phew! Glad you knew what I meant. Just reread my post and it was kinda mean. Didn't mean to come across as disparaging. Just a friendly heads up.
-
Wendy, I think the Viceland shows will be available online or via other outlets I saw on this link: www.vice.com/read/how-to-watch...
I think Weed 3 will be worth watching, too, because Sanjay Gupta seems to have become a true believer that there is something to medicinal marijuana.
-
Since doubling my dosage of CBD I have to say I feel great, will be phoning my radiologist to cancel my appointments pain is pretty much gone. I don't know if it's from the CBD but I know it's not from the tamoxifen stopped taking it so we shall see.
-
Wendy, I'm very glad to hear that your pain is gone. Are you strictly relying on CBD now?
-
Pretty much yup I don't take Tylenol or any of its relatives. All I was ever given was tamoxifen and apparently that wasn't working. So until they give me something else via clinical trials it's all up to juicing excerise and supplements and MJ.
-
Hi Wendy. Have you found that the oil affects your liver numbers? Appreciate your input. Mine went nuts, though I'm not totally sure the oil was the reason.
-
Wendy, Ok, I thought that the tamox. was effective but if it is not then I totally get it. They didn't want you to try any AI's? Don't get me wrong, I think if the stuff you are doing is working then that is wonderful but there is more available then just tamox, if not.
-
Wendy, I was thinking the same thing as ML, that if tamoxifen failed then there's a whole host of AI's available. I've been on anastrozole which has brought me to stable.
-
Yes ladies Ai is the next line of treatment but first I will do this clinical trial thing and see how that goes. Plus my alternative stuff together I may get to a normal place for a bit would be really nice.
-
Wendy, Sounds good.
-
Wendy, will you be allowed to stay on MM while in a trial? I have never been in a trial, but just wondering if there is any qualification re. not doing alternative things at the same time?
-
Deana yes thought of this also I imagine they will want me off everything. Will ask when I go in tomorrow to sign my consent form.
-
I would be very interested to find out if that was the cause of your liver numbers going nuts. Mine went nuts on Ibrance but are OK on Faslodex. Am very interested in MM but don't want to screw up the Enzymes again. I love Sanjay Gupta. He is a very intelligent even keeled guy. I would love to hear his input on this. Thanks all for the info on the upcoming programs.
-
So I just watched viceland "Stoned Kids" on YouTube . Pretty interesting all that I took from it is this needs a clinical trial and needs to be regulated so we are actually getting what we pay for. I have spent well over a thousand dollars so far on various products I hoped would stop the spread of cancer from oil to CBD caps. To know that what I'm paying for I am actually getting would be very valuable to me.
At this point the only medicine I have is MJ that's it. My tumour is still shrinking so whether I will stop does not come into question for me at all. CBD does not make you high what it does do is gives you a sense of balance and wellness at least for me. So I upped the dose to ten a day along with the oil. I wish I would have some health care professional who is knowledgable with this to tell me the dosing I require until then I will do it myself. Hugs to all

Wendy
Do you have CBD oil and CBD capsules? How do you use the oil
Thanks
Rosieo

Watched Weed 3 and found it interesting. The focus was on brain diseases,, PTSD, Alzheimer's and CTE. The program showcased patients who had found MMJ to help them with their symptoms, where standard meds had failed them. Hoping to see lots more research in the future,, and hopefully moving MJ from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2 will enable it to be more available for studies.
-
Rosieo I have the CBD in capsules and the pheonix tears either in a capsule form or in a dropper ( that's the one that will make you very high) I use it at night so I'm high when I sleep which makes for a very deep sleep.
-
Wendy
hate to be stupid or a pest but how do you take the oil in the dropper.
do you just drop it in your mouth?
Thanks so much taking the time to reply to my questions
