Did anyone have breast edness in after partial mastectomy?

Hi there, about a month ago I had my second tumor removal for clear margins and 3 nodes removed, All were at 11 or 12'o clock area, so closer to my armpit. My incision was sore up to 2 weeks after surgery but around 1-2 weeks my breast got really red and is still really red. Is that normal? The radiologist thought it was just lymphatic tissue that needed stimulation. the oncologist thought it wasn't normal but wouldnt prescribe antibiotics.

    Phalia I would contact your surgeon to review your concerns. Some women on the threads have reported delayed infections. No fever is a good sign, but not definitive.

    I agree. You should contact your surgeon. When I had nipple reconstruction with tattooing, the entire are became hot and red. This was after a preemptive course of antibiotics. Turned out my body was fighting the stitches. It subdued after a few days and I didn't need another round antibiotics. Had something similar to the incision area with recent hand surgery. Looks like I react to something.
