Urgent - chest x-ray problem

I had my pre-surgery tests today - blood work and chest x-ray. Was out this evening and came home to a message from my doctor's nurse practitioner saying she needs to speak with me about my chest x-ray. I am worried this means my cancer has spread. Any other thoughts about what could be wrong? Wish I was here when the call came in. Don't think I can sleep tonight and now I will be receiving potentially bad news at work (again).

I am sure you have spoken to someone by now about your chest X-ray as I am just seeing your post. I has surgery on Oct.5, 2015.My pre-op chest x-ray showed a shadow that was concering. After two CT scans it was determend to be only scar tissure. I pray the same for yours.

Thank you both so much for uour posts and concern. The nurse told me the chest x-ray shows I have emphysema! She made it sound like she thought I knew amd didn't disclose. I have never smoked and doubt that I have it. I think I may have chronic bronchitis which is concerning since I have been seeing an allergist for allergy symptoms and I have complained about upper resperatory issues. I have an appointment with a pulmonologist tomorrow who has to clear me for surgery. I am worried this will delay surgery.
