Just eat and didn't taste anything but the pepper. Husband just told last night's dinner was to salty. Guess I need to stop cooking. Take out sounds good.

    Sheri-Wig looks great!!

Veronica- Thanks for the Pronamel..my mouth burns after brushing so will be changing toothpaste:))

Paulinek- Hope you feel better. I always get a low grade fever for a few days after each infusion and it's just enough to make you feel lousy.

JEBA welcomes o the group! I must agree with the other ladies, it surely felt much better once I shaved off my head too. Now I am enjoying experimenting with scarves, caps and other hair accessories.

Sheri, the wig looks really good on you, very natural.

Pauline, I hope you feel better soon. My 3rd TC is tomorrow, Wednesday, freaking out a bit!

    Valstim52, Well done!

and DFWFLYGIRL, wishing you well for your last AC dose. Hope things go well.

    • WATER TIP...if water is tasting bad to you, try Smart Water. Filled with electrolytes for taste. Even though most food tastes like cardboard to me, I've been able to drink this water with no problem

the nurse told me the reason my postasium keeps dropping is that i need water like Cathytoo said with electrolytes. She said I'm washing all the minerals away, so I'm on fortified water and baby water that has potassium in it. Go figure.

Sheri: wig looks just like your own hair! Don't be afraid to trim the bangs if they are too long--I've done that on one of mine. I have a naturally very high forehead, and I still need to trim the bangs!

Frill: you are so creative with the scarves! And your lashes are beautiful!

Bananas are rich in potassium (422mg) and also help if you have diarrhea. My faux Bordeaux (Concord grape juice) has 110mg potassium/glass). A friend recommended SmartWater to me, but with my salty mouth SFX, the electrolytes made it worse, so I'm just drinking filtered tap water.

This round went well-going back to work tomorrow. Two down, 4 to go!

Thanks Planet I was thinking of cutting the bangs also, that is the only part I don't like.  Lucky for me my niece is a hair dresser and was there was I picked out the wig and said she would thin them out if I wanted.  I am wearing it at work today and I can't wait too take it off when I get in the car.  This will be an only for work and out I don't think I could wear longer then that.  Need to get some scarves and try them.

AWESOME PHOTOS, LMV! Can't believe you already have daffodils! You are quite talented! I especially like the ribbon of blue sky reflected in the puddle between the rows. You guys are all my daffodils!

Had my third chemo on Thursday, halfway thru 😊 ! This one was definitely harder to bounce back from. Ended up on the couch all day Monday as well as Saturday and Sunday. I hate missing work (need to save the sick days for recovery after surgery). Water tasted terrible to me this time too so thank you for the tip on the Smart Water. Constipation worse this time, just gets better and better. I ordered a wig from Wigsway before I started chemo, finally received it yesterday. I opened it up and it was wet and smelly. So a warning to anyone thinking about ordering from this website. Fortunately I had found a great wig at a local shop that my hairdresser cut and styled for me right after my first treatment. Took a long time to get used to wearing 10 hours a day but I think I have finally managed to do it. Wish I had the courage the rest of you have to go out in the comfy hats and scarves.

Lolliipop: I'm sorry you are suffering. Try some prune juice (or other) warmed up in the microwave. Hot drinks help

lollipop, I had horrible constipation last time that almost landed me in the hospital because of the bleeding but did all of the following to help for the next round - sharing here in case anything resonates for you: smooth move tea, sipping bone broth first two days of treatment, black licorice, magnesium calm. Senekot didn't help me and I eat lots of veggies so it was the help of remedies to get things moving rather than having them stop up that was most helpful. Good luck with the next round

Hi ladies, I don't post here much, but read daily. I just had my third AC, one more to go, then Taxol and possibly Carboplatin. I'm getting a little worried that I can feel very little, if any, change in my tumor so far. Am I being impatient? Any thoughts? When I asked my MO before my third AC she didn't say much, just that we would get an ultrasound before the Taxol.

LoveMyVizsla - absolutely love the photos! Please do keep them coming when ever possible, its very uplifting and good to see you are enjoying the outdoors. I have a passion for photography and charcoal drawing but I haven't had the mood to go out to pursue any of these hobbies. But you have inspired me. I shall take my Nikon when I go out on my little stroll today.

Sheri - I like the words of encouragement that your friend had sent you. They are all so true indeed.

Lollipop - I find dried prunes and milk helps with the constipation.

Had my 3/4 TC yesterday, one more to go.. I get my neupogen on Days 3,4 & 5, thats when the aches normally start and start to kick my ass! Hope the next few days would be bearable.. fingers crossed!

Hi, everyone. In the middle of number 5, almost halfway through the first round. Fighting fatigue more, but luckily that's it. I drink a lot of water and eat a lot of fruit and veggies to fight any of those other issues. It must be helping, because right now, other than a little tired, I seem to be ok. My hair isn't really even falling out any more. It seems like it's growing back!!! I mean, it does a tiny bit, but I never clipped it super short and it pretty much looks the same. A little thinner on the sides, maybe. Fingers crossed - I'll keep shaving my legs, God, just please let everything stay like this.

How many chemo treatments is everyone having? It seems like a lot of y'all are at the halfway mark, and almost I'm at the halfway mark of my FIRST ROUND! Then I get another 12 weeks. WAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! I have 12 of Taxol (1x a week) then AC+T (1 every 3 weeks).

Lollipop: You can be brave. It's hard, but you're stronger than you think you are. Up your fresh fruits and veggies and water. Lol, when I think I'm having a problem I eat a bunch of grapes and things will get moving. And that was before this whole BC thing. And I'm glad you got a better wig! I wish I could find one I liked. I put on one of mine last night and went downstairs and my sister and her gf burst out laughing. I said, "I look like the drag queen version of Mariah Carey." Three wigs and one on the way that I will probably never wear. Ohh!! And you're halfway through chemo?!??? Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheri: Another awesome wig wearer!!!!! Idk what's wrong with me. You look like that's your real hair. Perfectly gorgeous.

Planet: Thank you! :) And grats on the halfway mark!!!!!!!!!

LoveMyVizla: Beautiful pictures, gorgeous countryside. Lovely! :)

Jill, how has your first experience with the Taxotere gone?

Others on Taxotere, are you getting any tingling or burning in your hands or feet yet? And are any of you icing hands and feet when you get your infusion? I'm feeling a tiny bit of burning now and I'm not sure if it's the start of neuropathy or if it's because they are so darn dry. I'm trying to luvricate them like a crazy woman and hoping that it will help but thinking about ordering their icing gloves for the next three rounds jut to try to head this off at the pass. Being cold during the infusion sounds terrible though lol

How's everyone doing these days overall

jensgotthis...finished two Taxotere infusions. No tingling at all. BUT...my face is on fire and very red. This morning I thought it was gone, but it can back.

lovemyvizsla beautiful pictures! So peaceful, i wish I could jump into one.

Jen I just had my third infusion of taxotere ( and cytoxin). My first two my hands were so itchy I thought I would scratch the skin off, but I didn't get that this time.

I chew ice chips during taxotere (early tip from this thread). I still lose my taste every time, but no mouth sores.

Lollipop I hope the SE lessen soon!

Infusion umber 8 today out of 16! Still have 4 Taxol, 1 HP and 4 AC to go... But I'll take this milestone! Still deciding over every 2 weeks vs. every 3 weeks on the AC. I'd love to get this over with a month sooner but I really don't want to feel terrible either.

Frill - you're a little bit behind me. It's all good, we can do this. :)
