This is why they named it the Blue Ridge Mountains!
Our sunsets are pretty remarkable!
My favorite season is fall.
Rose--I have come to love and adore you. I love your spirit, your heart. I very much wish you no more suffering. You are one strong willed and determined woman to keep pushing ahead for your children. They do tend to give us such strength. Whatever your decision, I am supporting you and sending good thoughts your way. I feel so blessed, so thankful to have found bco...it led me to you. Rest well dear Rose. Much love.

-
Rose- thanks for saying hi and glad you are having some good family time.
-
Morning Rosie! So glad you are having a "happy" time.... If you get bored, you can come sit by my garden, and watch me work in the winter left-overs! I'll fix you some tea, and bundle you up with a blanket, and you can just sit there and enjoy yourself! Peace, my friend.... xoxoxo
-
I wish you peace our Dear Sister...peace like a river. Much love.

Oh Rose, I so wish I could bring you here!
The ceanothus, California lilac, has begun to bloom and its fragrance is extraordinary.
This woody plant with holly-like leaves and tiny blossoms produces what smells like wild honey.
Oh, to capture the scent and send it wafting your way!
Ceanothus, I'd like to introduce you to Rosevalley who loves beauty too!
Blessings on your journey, dear Rose.

It saddens me that your journey on earth will soon come to an end. I pray that Mercy and Love wait for you on the other side--the Maker of us miracles. No more suffering, no more tears, and no more pain.

I am daring to hope that faslodex has lessened the cancers grip on my intestines. I see the oncologist on Wednesday. My tumor markers should be back by then and I have not vomited in days. I ate yogurt today and pulled off less ascites fluid by 200cc then I would normally. Am I crazy to nurse hope? So many times I have crashed and burned and been resurrected. I very much feel like a cat with 9 lives. Why 9? The oncologist did not expect this to work and something is working. My DD3 will turn 15 at the end ofMarch. I want to feel good for her celebration. It's a miracle really that I feel better, when I was abjectly miserable from Dec 11th until a week ago.
I filled out the DWD paperwork 2 weeks ago. I was so afraid of dying in vomit and misery. I cried when hospice visited since they wouldn't guarantee a relief from suffering. I was hoping against hope faslodex might work. My seconal script (DWD is legal in Oregon) came in and I can pick it up today. I will pay 3,000.00 for the peace of mind to know I can leave this precious wonderful life with dignity in a painfree manner.. in hours instead of weeks of puking and suffering. It's a gift from my retirement to me, since our Catholic insurance does not cover it. Even though I seem to being having a reprieve for the moment. Thank you for all your encouragement and support. I would never have strength enough for the journey without the love and support of all of you who have walked this path and know what it's like.
-
I hope you get the news you want from your doc. And why not hope? If things turn around then you have what you need to exit when you're ready. And peacefully I hope. Enjoy the time you have to be with family.
-
It is never to late to "hope" little Rosie..... that's all we can do.......... We are there always for you.... just wish a miracle would happen soon, to help you go on to each beautiful day..... don't want you to have any pain..... Love you little Rosie..... xoxoxo
-
Love you too! Miracles do happen and I will accept and be grateful for what happens to me. (((Hugs)))
-
Rose; keep hoping that Faslodex will give you some relief and comfort. i have been on Fas for over two years now. Love you and please keep hoping!
-
Rosie, I read what you posted on another thread.... I read where you are going to go get a $3000 sectional! I thought, I think you can get one cheaper than that.... Like that blue one Mags posted somewhere! And I assumed you just wanted a comfortable one, and just lay back and go to sleep................
But then I kept reading and saw you meant something entirely different....
My sweet girl.... You have it all covered.... You should be keeping a journal.... for all of us.... You would give folks so much strength, and insight! I value what you say.... and what you are thinking.... and we are with you all the way.... sweet dreams my friend.... xoxo
-
Yes, we value what you say because we know it comes from your heart. I am so elated to hear that the fluid is going down and that you have been able to keep things down. How could anyone not hanging on to hope? We anxiously await for result of the tumor markers with you and plea for a miracle. I took these today. Spring also reminds me of renewal.
