Hi everybody,
This is my first time on a forum. My husbands mom was diagnosed yesterday with breast cancer. We don't know yet what stage she is at. What can I do to help him as well as his mom? I don't think it has sunk in yet. I know he is going to suddenly get hit with the gravity of it all. I want to be there for him as much as I can. Any personal experiences or tips of advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Sara

Sara Iam sorry I saw your post but by passed it as I thought it was for husbands supporting spouses .

Go to appointments with them take notes or a tape recorder
get a copy of path report for her records , offer to take her to treatments if she taking chemo ,run errands , do house work let them both talk it is okay to cry and be
mad send her funny cards and light reading don't ask what can I do show up and do it ! tell her you were on your way too.... and shop for her most of all being there for the
long haul ! You supprting your MIL will go along way in support for your DH as well !

    hugs,
    Carrie
