February 2015 surgery

I have my exchange surgery in 3 weeks, on September 30th. At this point I'm more excited than nervous, but I'm sure that will change the closer I get to the event.

My left exchange, right reduction/lift was July 7. I felt as you, excited, but nervous as the date neared. It was same day sx, went in at 6am and was in my recliner at home by 1p. Pain meds needed for only 24 hours. It was sooo much easier than the mx. My PS had me braless for 2 weeks, i had a drain on the left because my BS went in to clean up a close margin. I showered 48 hrs after sx and was driving on day 8. I wish you just as easy a surgery and recovery!
Hugs

Thank you, Arlene. I'm hoping for no drains, but I do expect it to be much easier than after mastectomy. My reduction/lift on the other side was done during mastectomy, so this time I will only have one side affected.
-
Hi Arlene!
I will let you know how it goes.
I am hoping this will be the last one.
I'm grateful anyway!

How's everyone doing in February 2016? How has your year been?
-
Hey gals...nice to hear from you. Shout out to Robin. My treatments are done. Finished herceptin / perjeta in October. Now I'm scheduled for a hip replacement on February 17th. New adventue. I'm looking forward to being able to walk without pain and get some unbroken sleep. My only lasting effects are neuropathy and lingering soreness in my radiated breast. Love, Jean
