i there can someone please possibly explain the difference and is it only through excision they find out

What are the chances of bc in a papillomatosis

Bs and nurse biopsied and now they say its a papilloma not a fibroadenoma with fna and no worries at all but want to excise this internal wart they called it to be triple sure

Thoughts?

I just went through having this removed.I have not heard which one was found yet since I don't go back until Feb 23.But my understanding is the single grows near the nipple are in the ducts and the multiple grow farther back near the chest wall.Mine was father back.It is also my under standing the multiple have more of a risk of turning cancerous, but this is still a slim chance since they are caught and removed before.I have also read that the multiple ones make you at a higher risk for bc. Mine came back with no cancer found.

    how big was yours kaylynn

I understood multiple means you have more then 1... had mixed information but wondered if that meant more then 1 lump or do they mass together and its still 1 lump

I assume you must be pretty comfortable with your result and it is great you had no abnormalities like atypical cells found

I am a terrible anxious type and worried about pallipary carcinoma

I had one intraductal papilloma further away from my breast. It was 4mm. Not too big. Benign. I'm going to the surgeon on tue to make sure the pain I'm experiencing isn't another one.

I worry a lot too! Im losing sleep over this. Boo!

    I wish you the best!

I am thinking worry is warranted but one must put it into perspective

Chances of it benign is very favourable. That coupled with the bs opinion us mammo and the biopsy. We must deal with the good and not grip onto the bad. To constantly think of what if it comes back is very much ocd and hypocondriasis behaviour which can be a counsellor issue if we cannot move past it

For me i need mine excised but all the results to date have been favourable. And i do not know about anyone else but forums fuel nothing but over thinking and when you get people saying me too good luck... does not help. That is not a criticism just a fact for me and i do not want to cause any offence. That is why i am starting to think about what we need to use forums for based on individual mindsets and drivers

oh and I think they mass together being tiny tumors to be called one.

Moni please don't tell me these come back and grow a lot once you have had one? I cant afford this happening again. Not with my crap insurance.Mine was never painful but have read they can be.

    have been reading like crazy

Whats mind blowing for me is 10.yrs ago they did a core biopsy or stereotactic cannot quite remember and results came back and said benign fibroadenoma. Now they fna biopsied and saying its a papilloma and they excise it to check it. How can it be biopsied twice with two different mass types?!?! Same lump
