I am 3 years out of my BC diagnosis and just found out today that I am pregnant! I am ER- PR - so I wasn't taking tamexofin. Couldn't find anything in literature that seem to be strongly discouraging women from getting pregnant after diagnosis but I am still terrified! Wonder if anyone aware of long-term survival stories of women who got pregnant after diagnosis?

Cheers,

Abby

Hi Abby! Congrats on the big news!

We don't know of any discouraging studies that say women shouldn't get pregnant after a breast cancer diagnosis -- in fact, the Pregnancy After Treatment page on the main Breastcancer.org site says many studies say after 2 years is the recommendation -- and some studies even say after 6 months is okay.

We hope this helps! Congrats again and keep us posted on how you're doing with your pregnancy!
