Cathy - so very sorry about your diagnosis. You will find a tremendous amount of help on these boards! I could not have made it through without them!
You are in the very worst part - going through tests, diagnosis, and more tests. When you know what you are dealing with and have an attack plan, it does get better!!
Sending my best!

HI Cathy,
So sorry about your diagnosis. I did have to get a second biopsy in the right breast after getting an MRI and it turned out to be just
calsifications. This is the worst part for you, once you have a plan you will feel much better you just need to get through this part.

I was diagnosed today. It feels like I'm dreaming. I've told everyone today. Surgeon on Tuesday and biospy on friday. I'm a professor and I'm half way thru my semester and I'm working on my doctorate.

Cathy, yes I had to go back for another biopsy and found out there was a second lump, as well. I'm sorry you just got diagnosed. I was only just diagnosed on 1/29 so just a little ahead of you time-wise. It's been test after test. I did start to feel less freaked out once I got my markers back and got a tentative treatment plan.
Nancy, it is surreal, isn't it? I don't know when it's really going to sink in all the way for me. Reading this forum as much as possible has been helpful.

Ugh, Nancy -- I'm a professor, too, but I was diagnosed in the summer (when I wasn't teaching) so I was able to structure my Fall teaching around my treatment. Best wishes to you and everyone else who has been recently diagnosed.
