Burning Pain With or After AIs or Tamoxifen

During treatment with Aromasin and Tamoxifen I developed intense burning pain throughout the body. It has remained even though I've been off those meds for over a year and a half. I have fibromyalgia but it is a higher level of pain than anything else I've experienced with fibromyalgia in the past.

Has anyone else experienced this and if so how do you treat it?

Hi, I have been on tamoxifen since november 18, 2015 - my pain started about a month later. First in my left ankle. If I had my running shoes on, they would rub against the spot where my ankle hurt. I didn't think too much about it, just thought maybe I did something! Anyway, it isn't in my left ankle anymore, it moved to my right foot. I can't stand flat on my foot without a shooting pain up my leg. Went to oncologist tuesday of this week, and they basically told me I am nuts, tamoxifen doesn't cause nerve pain.

I am going to try taking Glucosamine - I saw it mentioned in another thread from a few years ago. I have to do something, this is ridiculous! Especially the fact that my onc says there is no way the tamox should be causing joint pain. I guess I will have to show him all the threads about it here :)

corky60 It sounds like neuropathy to me. I have an autoimmune peripheral neuropathy and I have the exact same symptoms. IMO you should see a pain management doc to start. Good luck and keep us posted...
