That is odd, I have no clue what would cause bruising like that. That the lump is squishy may be a good thing? I do not know enough to say really. I do know what HA is like. My best friend died of cancer at 36 ,four years ago and it threw me into terrible HA that I deal with to this day. Panic attacks that feel like heart attacks and the wholee nine. I'm sorry about your mom, that can't make the wondering easier.

Just wanted to update this, again in case someone finds it in the future and it is their "a-ha! that's what I have!" thread that saves them from anxiety.

About 95% certain it was the weirdest bruise I've ever had. The areas that aren't actually veins or capillaries (which are still super visible, and pink/purple) have begun to fade into an orange/yellow color. Basically, old blood. It's weird because it never looked like a traditional bruise (blue/purple) but as it heals, it definitely looks more bruiselike. So from afar it still looks like pink streaks, but upon closer examination, it's just a network of pink capillaries and an orange/yellow healing bruise.

Obviously, no other symptoms arose. No discharge, itching, swelling, burning, etc.

I do still have a few weird lumps in that breast but two of them feel identical, like a short lumpy rope. So most likely fibrocystic tissue. I have the mammogram and ultrasound this upcoming week, it will definitely put my mind at ease to know for sure what those are about. Still a little pain up under my arm but I've heard that's common with fibrocystic breasts.

I so wish I could see your spot. This almost sounds like what I have but I have had it for 4.5 months. It's stressing me out so bad. I think it doesn't help that I too may have a little bit of HA because mydad died when I was young from a rare disease and now I am a mom of young children. I am waiting punch biopsy results.

thank you for posting this. This is exactly what I have! It’s pink but seems like it can be a collection of stretch marks or broken capillaries. Like you it’s visible in certain lighting and totally invisible in others esp bright lights! Freaking me out.
