I just had one, along with appendix 11 days ago. I was also in chemo induced menopause that has remained but I'm 57. I have found that my hot flashes have increased, they were almost non existent right before but have ramped up especially at night, since surgery. I have also noticed I'm a bit 'weepy' a bit more emotional. I never felt that way with chemo menopause. It's still early from surgery and wondering if maybe that is from anesthetic although I've never had that reaction before. This was an extremely easy surgery for me. Luckily it was done laparoscopically and I was up walking around 6 hours later. I was discharged 11 hours after surgery because I was doing so well. Took Tylenol 3 for first day then reduced by half the next day, then just Tylenol for another day. I wish you luck!

I will be getting one soon, just not sure how soon, either over spring break in march or at the end of may depending on when my dr. thinks I should get it done around my school schedule. I am slightly nervous about recovery if they want to push it for March, but other than that, I will just be happy to have them out. It feels like it will really get my treatment going.
