Surgical excision

Hello ladies!

I was diagnosed in November with Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia. Due to starting a new job, I had to delay my surgery till this month (Wednesday actually). I am INCREDIBLY scared. I am one of those people who are horribly sick after anesthesia. I discussed it with my surgeon and she did talk to the head of anesthesiology to make sure they have the alternate meds for me and the patches etc but it is not helping alleviate the fear.

How many have used the nausea safe anesthesia and been ok with it?

How painful is the healing time after? (my area is non-palpable so having the wire guided)

Did you absolutely have to take the RX pain meds or did tylenol do the trick?

Help a scared lady :(

As surgery goes, this was minor with negligible pain and mine involved my areola which is super sensitive. The worst for me was recovering from the general anesthesia. I recover from it as if I'm manic, then I crash with exhaustion. I think it was overkill to give a general. I had twilight for port installation and that was far more invasive. You might check on twilight.
