Wednesday Weigh In

Yay, twohobbies and ruthbru!
Up 200 grams. Need to lose before going off on vacation. I will stop eating chocolates starting tomorrow. Yes, I will, even if they are good for me.
-
down .4......yes, that is a decimal point in front of the 4, but I will take it!
-
Down 2 lbs. I guess regular exercise really does help. And I don't think I logged last week :-)
-
165.4 - down 2.2 lbs. Same 2 lbs comes and goes but had labwork Monday which I know will come in with MO saying statin and/or more diabetes meds so I'm trying to, once again, watch my food and refuse additional meds. Going back on low carb plan as well as I did lose about 30 lbs before (and have kept it off). Going to up my exercise as well and stop wimping out on temps that are only in the 40's!.
See you next week friends.
-
Congrats to the losers! You inspire me! The struggle goes on for me but I am not giving up.
-
I don't believe my scale which showed a big loss. If it's still showing that tomorrow, I'll post it.
-
Sounds like most of us had a good week. Hang in there everyone. Heidi I just bought some cocoa dusted almonds. 7 grams of carbs so not too bad. Slightly sweet but no, not as good as chocolate covered. I'll try to ease into a few more carbs slowly. I want to continue this diet but have a little fruit next week.
Patoo, I found these lectures on YouTube by Dr Jason Fung when my husband fell into the pre diabetic range. He believes you can reverse diabetes. He uses intermittent fasting In addition to low carb. You can google him if you're interested. Thatsone reason I started this two week challenge to give my husband support to get this under control now.
-
Thanks TH. I believe pre-diabetes can be managed so it does not turn into full-blown diabetes. For Type 2 I'm not so sure but do believe it can be managed so that I can get off of meds. Making that my goal as of this moment. Will google/youtube Dr Fung. Thanks.
-
Patoo, I had a client who had type 2 and ended up on insulin. He started going to the gym and watching his diet. He ended up being able to stop insulin and go back to pills. I think he kept it up and eventually didn't need meds. I was super impressed with his achievement.
-
Yes wren, I need to work better on my eating habits. Getting there but it takes a lot of will-power and commitment. Exercise is not a problem as I'm finding I'm starting to become an exercise junkie where I need my daily fix!
-
Re-weighed today and got 134.5. Much more believable than yesterday.
-
-
So true , Ruth. Mine happens by Mexident. We went off our diet last night to celebrate an early Valentine's Day at our favorite Mexican restaurant. I intend to get back on the program today since I don't want to lose my progress
-
Stayed the same at 134.5.
-
down .2. I am on vacation again next week so I imagine I will be losing the same couple pounds over and over again!
-
Forgot to post yesterday. Was down 1 lb but irritable scale shows back up 1.4 today. Silly scale! (cause it can't be me)
-
Hi ladies. I also did not get a chance to post. I gained 1.5 lbs since last Wednesday which was an all time low. As I mentioned we celebrated Valentines Day and now I've been good for almost a week and I'm the same every day. So in my two week challenge overall I managed to lose 4.6 lbs. I will continue on and see if I resume any weight loss.
At least I can say I lost my Fourth of July lbs which is why I rejoined here and have settled two lbs lower than my previous set point. I'll take every hard earned lb.
-
I have decided to go back to WW. Haven't attended a meeting yet but have been pretty much on the program. Down 5 lbs since Monday's all time high of 176. My goal is 155. Hoping that sugar, cholesterol and bp will be more manageable at lower weight.
-
Hi Carole, looks like we have similar stats. I was at 175 and over the last year am down 10. My goal is also 155, at least initially since I'm only 5'1" tall!
I am familiar with WW and think it's a good program too. I've been using MyFitnessPal.com.

-
Think it's Wednesday. Up .2 (164.6) from last week but back on track with my eating so should see better results next week.
-
Back from holiday and have gained more than a kilo. Let's see what Wed. brings.
-
Well, I weigh something between 13lbs and 147.5. They are sending us a new scale. I'll report next week if we get the scale and it seems to work.
-
Went to a WW meeting on Mon. morning. Back to tracking and planning my meals. Weight was 17l.6 at weigh in. This morning I was 168.5 on my scales which are about 1 lb. higher than the WW scale. First time I've been south of 170 in a while.
So I'm feeling encouraged!
-
Well, I've lost several pounds, but it's because I have pneumonia. Definitely not a weight loss tactic I would recommend.
-
Ruth, You're right, that's the diet no one wants. Hope you are cured soon.
-
Thanks, Wren. I just ate a small snack of Jelly Beans, so maybe I am on the mend!
-
Ruthbru, hope you get back to healthy status soon.
-
Thanks, ladies!
-
I weighed in at the WW meeting this morning and was down 4 lbs!
