Hi Ladies,

I had a BMX with TE on 7/31/15. I am so ready to get these suckers out. My DIEP flap will be on 2/18. I'm having a lot of pain these days, never for that long and all over my upper body. I have shots of pain in my arms, pain in my back, pain in my breasts and some in my neck ( that might be muscle strain, but I don't know from what). Did anyone else have this? I'm attributing it to the TE. I had PT and my therapist said TE affect your whole body because muscles are connected, the pull from the TE transfers all over, as does the tight fascia.

I'm supposed to be doing a group exercise group through our hospital's health and wellness center but I'm going to cancel it for right now. Between the pain, my fatique and getting the house in order before my surgery, I just don't have the energy for it.

Hi, I just had my BMX with TE on 1/28/16 and initially filled with 240 CC and was feeling less pain and stiffness until I went yesterday and had drains removed and 60 cc added to each side and last night woke up with what you explained. Its a throbbing pulling pain and muscle stiffness and tightness- back pain and the only thing that relieved it was the xanax. However I cant function on that medicine during day. Im only 12 day post op and still needing norco 7.5 but also wondering if physical therapy will help? I didnt get much direction from PS - I still have at least 2 more months with these TE's.Also what is the best bra to get ?( i got a sports but favor the surgical bra) I only get my relief by meds, changing compression garments and laying on recliner with pillows. Good luck with your reconstruction.

Grateful this cancer is out of me! Next step tamoxifen

curly, do you have any muscle relaxers? I always took a muscle relaxer an hour before a fill.

You will be sore for several more weeks. Especially since you just had surgery, you are going to be feeling zingers of pain as your nerves that were cut wake up.

I had a couple mastectomy bras I used a few weeks out, then I started wearing my old non-underwire bras once I was fully filled
