My morning meditation for Rose and for all of us:
May we recognize love, healing and connection in the lowliest violets at our feet and our highest prayers to heaven.
May the whole world respond to our need and spread loving, healing, connection to all beings everywhere, without one exception.
May all be free from suffering and experience ease of well-being.
In loving kindness for all, Stephanie

Thinking of you, Rose, and sending BIG HUGS and much lovingkindess...
-
Sending some love and (((gentle hugs))) your way. I will hold you up in prayer and song during Mass tomorrow (I sing in the choir).
St. Augustine of Hippo is often quoted as having said "He who sings, prays twice."Wishing you a restful night and a peaceful day.

Yesterday afternoon, this strange, wild beauty of a bobcat jumped several fences into our chicken yard. The arcaucana it caught escaped unharmed when the other chickens and humans went running and squawking. The bobcat then jumped the fence into the orchard and calmly waited for the commotion to die down and its chicken dinner to return. Finally, the dogs ran it off and the hungry cat jumped the fences with feral elegance.
Life and death are truly mysterious.
This morning, I had chicken soup for breakfast. I'm no less part of the cycles of life and death than this beauty of a bobcat.
Much love and healing juju for you this morning, dear Rosevalley!
And warmest healing wishes for all! ~ Stephanie

Thinking of you too Rosevalley. here is one of my most favorite spots to take a short snowshoe. The quiet and beauty sooth my soul....
-
More cycles of nature, death and life, dear Rosevalley!
The bay laurel have begun to flower here - the blossoms' sweet, subtle scent in contrast to the spicy leaves that smell like pizza or spagetti sauce - bay leaf! Its nuts were eaten by the native peoples and its fruits look like tiny avocados, which they're related to.
This beautiful tree is a killer too - a silent carrier or sudden oak death that's taken down all the tan bark oaks and many of the great, spreading grandmother coast live oaks in my region.
Beauty and death, excitement and sorrow, hope and loss – so often intertwined in the natural and human worlds.
Rosevalley, my early morning ascites and nausea sister, I'm hoping that amidst your suffering that you find ease of well being.
warm, healing love, Stephanie

these are pics of my littles (almost 3 yrs ago) and my family (mom, dad, brother, and sister-in-law)...but I posted because I thought of you when I was looking through pictures and saw the tulips! These pictures were taken at the Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. It is the largest private home in the country. Of course no one lives there now. It is open to the public. The house and priceless antiques in the house are astounding. The grounds are immaculate. At one point the Vanderbilts owned most of three counties. They donated their land to the government and it is now protected national forest. They actually were the pioneers of the (national) forest service. The first forestry building was air lifted from the estate and flown two counties away to a place now called the Cradle of Forestry. It's just a fascinating story. Google it if you want to see more (I can't figure out how to download pics from the internet).
You haven't checked in for a couple days. I hope you are resting easy, comfortable, pain free, and at peace. Much love.

I am here. I read and sometimes have the energy to post. Sometimes I get tired and I just enjoy all the scenery you all post! Like a garden estate with tulips... beautiful family amid all the flowers! Bobcat waiting for chicken dinner.. hope you got the chickens put away as they are caged and unable to fly to escape. But I eat chicken too. Although my cousin said she had raccoons kill many of her chickens on her Kansas farm. Tahoe is so beautiful. That entire area from Truckee to Tahoe lovely. Yesterday and today have been good days... very full and bloated but no puking! I guess my pleading for relief was heard. I see the oncologist Wednesday. I think that singing is like prayer... thank you!
Blessings to all. (((Hugs)))) rosevalley

Well my reprieve was short lived.. puked a ton at ten at night and spent the night in the recliner... tired and grumpy. But it is sunny and lovely outside making everything bearable. Thank you for the lovely images and sharing they make my day. I can walk the virtual paths of beauty in my jammies.
