    Thank you so much for posting your experience with Arimidex. We understand that stopping treatment may feel scary. Some doctors do indeed recommend more than 5 years as you mentioned. Naturally, it is always good to make healthy lifestyle changes though, even when the motivation initially is low.

    I was discharged last Monday after five years was on arimidex which I don't know how I stick for almost two years as I was in total agony then put on exemerstane for eighteen months which was slightly better then put on letrizole which I stayed on till my five years were up on discharge my oncologist has put me on tamoxifen for another five years as apparently ten years is the new way to go I had a terrible head most of the week with the change over but seem to be more myself today I'm just hoping the horrific joint pains will go eventually they do seem slightly better today so fingers xd and all the very best to you regards sandylo

    gosh your story is similar to mine. I've been taking armidex for 12 years. Recommended for 5 yrs. But my dr. Kept me on it for 12 years

    Studies show benifit for 10 years

    I just went off 2 days ago. I'm feeling the same as you. I'm very worried my tumor marker in blood work will go up it's high now 44. Also in answering your question. My Dr said I didn't need infusion. My bone loss 20%. So I'm off sugar and taking calcuim.
